What would I plagiarize? Grays Sports Almanac, Complete Sports Statistics, 1950-2000. Just kidding. I would only get kind of rich at first, because if the same person kept winning, they would definitely shut down gambling entirely. And even if they didn't, who would bet on something when they're almost always going to lose to the same guy? I would steal Jurassic Park, and make sure it was released on July 6th, 1993 instead of June 9, 1993. I don't care if it was on a Tuesday after the 4th of July holiday weekend!

In the original Kenneth Bell movie, they fell into a trash incinerator rather than a compactor, but in the mid 70s, Towering Inferno was so popular that George felt he had to change it and created the iconic trash compactor scene in the process.

That’s totally understandable. Plus, I remember from my Time Adjustment & Manipulation class in third grade that the incinerator scene was modeled a little bit on the wood chipper scene in Fargo, obviously with some creative license on the part of King Bell of Earth.

Weird, but the movie "Yesterday" was incepted very similarly. Jack Barth, a non-accomplished writer thought to himself once, that he would probably not be able to attain massive success even if he wrote Star Wars. Someone has been traveling in time.

Can't believe they actually got George Lucas to show up again after he clogged every toilet in the office last time. Brave of Chris and Jack, especially considering the hefty hazmat bill he stuck them with.

this is the pilot and the entire show is about Kenneth trying to revert the timeline back to the one where he wrote Star Wars, and every time it almost works. Eventually he does invent time travel (turns out he wrote Back to the Future too and the Flux Capacitor is based on his own device) but it still doesn't work. In the season 1 finale, he enlists the aid of Lucas' 2053 Canadian team and it turns out that the Force Ghost of George Lucas has been shutting down his attempts to fix the timeline this whole time. Season 2 is about the team trying to stop Lucas and fix the timeline once and for all. yeah I would watch that

The wipe transitions and music to make it feel more Star Wars are great touches

Makes as much sense as anything. Memory problems could explain the differences in quality between the original trilogy and the prequels.

I love that the Failure to Launch script ends up being basically like giving Kenneth a lottery ticket that doesn’t win.

Y'know, for the longest time I felt I had all these sketches just building up inside of me, all about like satirising heist films and spy films, maybe one about the idea of reliving a day over and over again (that one felt like it would be really popular)...

2:28 i kinda like how much it fixes to put the prequels first, 3 decent movies building to a really strong second trilogy, and presumably chris never sold off to disney so his starwars wouldve stopped at 6, in which case the entire franchise would probably be remembered as really good

I like to think this whole skit started out just because of how well Jack would look as george lucas.

This is such a brilliant concept done amazingly.

This made me realize just how much George Lucas sounds like Dr. Evil
