I’m about as Anglo as they come (and Norse, Icelandic, etc), and this has been one of my favorite songs for almost four decades I think this is an utter masterpiece. I have worn out sufficient cassettes, CDs, and downloads to prove it. If I were a zillionaire, I’d, um, take George Lamond to a really nice dinner-anywhere on the planet.

The greatest thing about freestyle besides that it was and is dance-able is that it had lyrics that made sense and we were able to relate to the words. Today... it's all about a good hook! Freestyle was super strong when I was in HS. I still play it at home and in the car, so my kids know it and appreciate it! It will remain alive within me as long as I live!

There's no one who could ever love me like you loved me I remember how it used to be There was no stronger love And now I can't believe I was only too blind to see That your love is inside of me And now I don't have anything at all Every night I think as time just passes by Why I left your love and how it made me cry Now that I found out, don't know what to do My life feels so empty, so empty alone without you Without you, without you I don't know what I'll do without you girl Without you my love is in your hands There's nothing left to live for There's nothing left to do without you Every night I sleep, I sleep with a fantasy That your here, its just you and me Just like it always was But then I'm left to see that it was only a memory And what's left is for me to be alone without your love Every night I think as time just passes by Why I left your love and how it made me cry Now that I found out, don't know what to do My life feels so empty, so empty alone without you Without you, without you I don't know what I'll do without you girl Without you my love is in your hands There's nothing left to live for There's nothing left to do without you

This song actually makes me emotional. Just reminds me of my childhood when my dad use to take us all fishing in the summer in Coney Island. My little sister use to sing and dance to this song for us. It was the best time of our lives. My dad would cheer us on with pride... Now my kids call me old when i dance this with their mom... Man, time just flies.

86TH STREET FOREVER! Started the trek from 86TH and 10TH in Dyker Heights and it didn’t end till L&B and then the return trip back! Best 3 hours you could spend listening to classics like this and talking to girls with high hair while I cruised in my Maroon Buick Riviera with the rag top and spoke rimmed wheels! Truly a great time to have lived through!!!

Damn... When that boy would perform, he'd tear the house down. Mad energy on that stage. His back up dancers were off the hook. And after he'd get off, I'd have my pick of the mamis that he'd leave breathless in the crowd. I owe that kid mad props for hookin' me up by default! LOL

Bumpin' this through my system in my blood red '87 Trans Am on Centerlines with a Flowmaster exhaust & the T-Tops off and my Puerto Rican Flag hanging from my rear view mirror trembling because of my bass on a Friday night with my boy next to me...being young, Boricua & paid in New York in the late 80's - early 90's was it. I had more girls than any one man deserved! 😎 Thank you George!
