    George was buried today May 2, 2013 at Nashville. The Possum was laid to rest today. His memorial service was today at the Grand Ole Opry. The father of Country music had to leave us at the age of 81 See you on the other side Possum.

    my brother n law told my sister too play this song when its his time to go.he died 2 weeks later in a horrible car accident.great song,but very sad for me

    Probably, might be why he didn’t sing the second verse but sang the chorus three times 😊. Despite that, he was still a better singer than 99% of today’s so-called country singers. Nobody’s going to fill his shoes.

    this song should be a tribute to great Singer Elvis Presley. to his wife Priscilla who he loved until the day they laid him down so sad she couldn't gave him what he wanted the most another chance. to be w his family to be happy. but it was too late for them.
