Still can't listen to this without tears streaming down my face. THIS is the one song I was allowed to play at my mother's funeral. She had ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and couldn't speak for the last year of her life. She could smile up until almost the end though, the most beautiful smile you've ever seen. I pray we find a cure for ALS my lifetime.💔

I'm 57 my kids are 21& 23 probably been listening to George for 47yrs, tried to pass him on to my kids but they listen to their own music guess they'll never know what they're missing!!! My mother is in her last days of her life today she is 83 and had a major stroke today and is not expected to make it . I love you mom.the years were hard and long and full of problems, but, as of 3 years ago we made a full ammends, and I truly feel I have a mother for once in my life..I love you..❤

If your momma is still living PLEASE go give her a hug, and a kiss on her little cheek. Just sit there and listen to her. Played this at my sweet mommas funeral in 2017. Lord how I miss her.

Lost my mom on 4/1/2021 at 69 yrs. old. I knew the first time I heard Jones this was the song. She was with all her family when she passed. Loved to spend the last year taking care of her. Love ya mom!!! Wouldnt have it any other way.

My grandma passed away in 2016. I promised her I'd give up the bottle when i told her my last words. It took 3 years but in August of 2019 I took my last drink 2 years and 2 months sober I feel i did her proud. My grandma was like a second mom to me. And I loved her so much

This song reminds me of my Grandma....she just turned 95 this passed Tuesday and during her life she raised,clothed,and fed 13 children (7 boys and 6 girls) and never complained because she loved a lot in her time and during the last several years she has come to have many grand children and great grandchildren and loves each and everyone of us as if we are her own children....I love you Grandma...thank you for all the unfailing love you have given me these pass 19 years xoxo

No disrespect meant. Haggard was a better songwriter than Jones but as far as singing talent is concerned no one was the Possums equal. He was in a Class all by himself.

George Jones could and can sing a song that touch a person soul no matter what walk of life you are from.this is true country music and not this rock country that you hear today. There will never be another George Jones so who going to fill his shoes. No one. God only made one and thank God he aloud us to see and hear him while he walked the earth.

Love this song beautiful,my Daddy and momma use to listen to his music all the time and dance to it they loved his music,I think of them everytime I hear George Jones,my momma use to pray for her children to me a lot. They had 12 children me being the youngest of them all. My Dad passed in 1995 st 65 years old hard working man he was.love and miss him. My momma was a hard working momma home maker she took good care of us all she passed in 2012 she was 80 year's old. She help with a lot of people when they was sick she would go help take care of them a lot that was dieing from cancer she would help as much as she could.But she also had over 45 grand kid's and 20 great grand kids and probably 10 great great grand kids and she help out with a lot of them to. I still to this day don't know how she did it all it only could be the good Lord that help my momma through all the storms of life thank you JESUS for giving me a good momma and Daddy and for still answering momma's prayers today Amen 🙏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💜🎚🛡⚔🕊🔥👑🦁🐑🩸🕊🔥🍞🍷🔥💃🏼🔥🕊🎶🎸🎶🎻🎼🥁🎼📯🇺🇸📯🇮🇱📯💪🏼🙏🏼

been sober now for just over 11 yrs and just lost my mom on November 19th a cpl days ago

I started drinking when I was the age of 12yrs old I am now 22yrs almost 23,. I’ve realized that after all these years of times I’ve been in the bottom of a bottle,. And yes I can admit that there have been times that I’ve been in the hospital because of my drinking habits,. I guess I’m paying for the things that I’ve done but I’m never really winning and yes I’m an alcoholic the bottle always wins,. I can’t keep doing what I’m doing or I’ll lose everything and everyone again. Yeah drinking is fun but who am I kidding it kills and destroys families,. I need AA. I’m sorry that it’s taken me this long to admit my flaws and wrong doings. I wanna be a better person instead of an ASSHOLE. Drinking is costly and all it takes is time and you’re life is gone in a blink of an eye.

April T. I’m now clean I’ve got a girlfriend now who’s my angel that completes me and we both love each other, she’s my sunshine that shines through the rains and she’s the cure for the fear and pain in my life, I’ve got a daughter who I cherish now, you can see where you came from and then when you find that love it sets you free so that you’ll never be alone again. There’s nothing that I wouldn’t do to keep my love and my child I’d give them the world

thank you Mom and I appreciate you and every mom because if it wasn't up to Mom's there wouldn't be a man in this world

My mama passed 16 years ago my life has never been the same. I have to wonderful children I am raising on my own. But there still something missing in my life. The day my mama died a good part of me died with her and I will never be the same. Way before I had my kids I tried killing the pain with drinking just like George says in the song but it didn’t work. I’d give anything to see or hear my mamas voice again so if you have your mama treasure her.

the first time i heard this song i knew this would be on my mothers gravestone when she passes i pray my two boys feel the same way i feel about you ....thank you momma
