George Jones, Ray Stevens & T Graham Brown- She Thinks I Still Care

George Jones, Ray Stevens, Allison Moorer and T Graham Brown sit around the living room and sing "She Thinks I Still Care" on George's late 90's TV Show.

Me too, that dang Jones could sing most anyone right under the table! I have been working on transferring a lot of my George Jones records to digital, I probably have 70 or so older albums (50's through the 80's) that I collected over the years, and there is some pretty rare stuff. I will start posting some of the songs on youtube when I get them all transferred.

I sent a demo tape to George Jones once, and when I met him my whole body was shaking when they asked him about it- he was nice though!

I met the man a few times, and in person he was laid back, very nice... but each time I could have threaded a sewing machine with it running. The man was as GOOD as GOOD gets. I loved your comment about what it would be like to sing with him, or even in front of him... I couldn't do it! I would have passed out hahaha.

+KLUNKET good for you my friend. I did get to pick with his lead guitarist, Gary Adams. It was a big thrill for me. Wish I could have met George. Great story and memories you treasure.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Pickin' with Gary Adams?!?! that is AWESOME!!! Correct me if I am wrong but Gary played for a lot of big names... Hag, Ray Price, Paycheck... I think he even played for Marty Robbins. There is probably more but I'd have to look it up. That is so cool! I've been fortunate enough to have met quite a few of my heroes over the years, my best friend was a DJ back in the late 50's and 60's and he knew these guys, and thanks to him I met most of the people I grew up idolizing. You know what makes me sad though, meeting these people was one of the big highlights of my life, and today when I tell people about it, they barely even know who any of these guys are- if at all. I show them pictures of me with these people and I get "who is that"?? It is a damn crying shame that radio ignores the legends the way they do. This whole new generation doesn't know what they are missing! Anyhow, it's nice to meet you- I'd love to show you my recording studio with all the country music memorabilia I've acquired over the years... it isn't often I get to chat with someone who appreciates these things the way I do...

+KLUNKET I believe your correct. Gary has played for many. I picked for many hours as a kid with the Adams brothers record, Bridge over troubled waters, trying to copy his licks. What a talented family.

I have many vintage 45's and vinly 33s that I would love to transfer over to dvd? Could you recommend a good quality player that I could possibly rent?

Klunket..thanks much for your speedy reply...what were you asking for your player, the name brand and will a novice like me find ease in using it? I have located most of the titles of my 45's/33's on KZread...then...I have around 20 45's that are remaining that are extremely rare to find that I would love to transfer over to a cd. I feel as if these will fit onto this media. Please do let me know.

I would sell you my old one if you are interested. Its pretty light weight so should be easy to ship... It hooks into your computer and transfers the songs to the computer then burns to CD or DVD...
