I have a soft spot with great respect towards him and his family despite being more of a Democrat, and blessed to have met his granddaughter Barbara Pierce Bush in Atlanta earlier in the year and what a golden memorable moment meeting her. I always remember how President GH W Bush or Bush Senior visited my Alma mater Birmingham-Southern in 1989 May for something for an Environmental Act. I pray my Alma mater stays with crisis currently going on financially.

Curious George. Ronald Mcdonald. When Kennedy was took out the very next president began the start of the finish. In that year, Nation vs Nation was an antique dilemma that transitioned into Good VS Evil literally. Kennedy gave a speech that predicted events far into his future both covertly and in today 2024, Arrogantly and Overtly. In our schools, our stores, our neighborhoods, our workplaces and overall in our faces! Signs & Symbols rule the world not words or laws. Confucius.

Washington DC is a very different place today. George H.W. Bush was an average President who would have been re-elected if he had not broke his campaign promises of No New Taxes. He was a very great man. RIP.

He's trying to sound folksy like Reagan. He fails, and sounds like a bad parody of Reagan. And he says nothing at all about the obvious most-important change which was already well-underway and ongoing: the computerization and digitization of everything, and the incipient resulting biotech revolution. I can remember now why I voted for Mike Dukakis. He understood technology and he was realistic. His campaign slogan was "we will need to make some hard choices". (Bush even uses that phrase, no doubt with Dukakis in mind.) In contrast, Bush's slogan was "Read my lips: no new taxes!" We all remember how THAT turned out....

George H W Bush was truly a class act. He was a great president and definitely underrated. He made mistakes but every great leader does. Bill Clinton was a disaster. The United States would be better off today if he had a 2nd term.
