The majority of his other girlfriends were not exactly known for their brains, so to suddenly date a woman like Amal seems strange. It actually seems as if he wanted to get into a long term relationship or get married. She is a catch in anyone's book - he definitely married up.

The fact that she didn't even think he was proposal speaks volume about the woman she is. This woman is amazing.

+Sicari Well considering his relationship history (most of his ex's lasted a couple of years at best) and the fact that he said multiple times that he doesn't plan to remarry... any woman as smart as Amal would not really consider having a relationship with him as one that will end up with marriage. She probably thought they were just having a bit of fun and that nothing will come out of it, her reaction pretty much indicts as such.

+J Q he's lol, you have no idea what a "playboy" really is if you think Clooney was one. Yes he dated many women, reasonable for a man of his age who was previously married only once in his late 20's. A man does not count as a "playboy" when he is in relationships that last 2-3 years each. A playboy is someone who dates multiple women at the same time or for super short period of times, or just hops from bed to bed on a short time period. Someone who flirts all the time. Clooney is probably no saint in the love department but he is no playboy, trust me I've sadly dated one a long time ago.

I can see exactly something like this happening with Leonardo Dicaprio, although i think he would be a little more subtle in expressing himself and showcasing the relationship being that he's a much more private person. Sure, but I think to find an Amal in you life, it helps to look for an Amal. At least Clooney had dated a variety of women whom he actually had relationships with for a few years, and it may sound prejudiced, but Leo's pattern of choosing twenty-something models depending on the current Victoria's Secret collection doesn't exactly indicate the man's committed to finding "the one". I mean, Dicaprio has taken his mom to twice as many events than all of his girlfriends together (which is an oedipal pattern of its own 😄). I'm exaggerating of course, in the end, none of us know that man as a private person. I would guess though, he might actually not be looking for a serious relationship/marriage. Some people truly don't. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love George Clooney and love that he waited for just the right woman to make a forever commitment to. How many Hollywood actors or actresses do that, right?

I love this couple. George and Amal Clooney are beautiful inside and out. Both of them are human rights activists and stand up for the weak and vulnerable in many countries, especially war-torn countries. I’m glad that George waited to marry Amal and not the other beautiful women whom he had dated. None of them could hold a candle to her in terms of beauty and brains. May they have a long and blissful marriage and stay together till the end of the their days. 🎉❤

I know it's been like 2 years but that's how Ellen's humour works - she is always balancing between jabs and light-hearted jokes, even at Oscars, even with Obamas and all sorts of high-profile and respected people
