He was actually arrested for doing this routine once in 1972! They charged him with violating obscenity laws! But it backfired on them because this routine wound up being in the middle of a federal court case! lol The Supreme Court actually had to step in and say that the FCC couldn't limit or stop George or others from using this material in their routines. He's a legend for sure!

recovERed gamER he became ridiculously more cynical as he kept writing. maybe his mortality had something to do with it, because you could see him getting more comedy in his very last special, and we just never saw him in his "gritty but also rather silly satire" phase because he, well, died.

Is it any wonder that Carlin had a devoted Black following? His comedy was very much rooted in jazz, and in street reality. He was a rough-and-tumble New Yorker from back in the day... a crusty Irish who ran with a mixed comedy club crew; a veritable United Nations of comedy. You can tell by the rhythm and roll in his flow. I knew you guys would love this!

Even musicians when they speed up or slow down the cadence or switch up beats. It is designed to hold your attention. The greats know this and are good at it. Even guys like Jeslnick or Jimmy Carr where there hit you with punchline after punchline you can definitely see a rhythm to the punchlines

Brillant! It makes you think about "words" and how they are used or not used and it's relevance. No dirty words, just bad intentions, which he said.

Awesome you're doing Carlin now. If there were ever a 'Mount Rushmore' of stand up comedians his face would definitely be on there (Along with Richard Pryor... any other comedians are up for debate). Smart to start off with his earlier stuff too you'd have enough material for the next few years ;).. One of the few comedians who started off great and got even better as he aged. I personally like his later stuff even more the older he got the less he gave a fuck, xD

Its can be like how bevis and butthead was back in the day where they would watch tv and it would be a debuting music video. Maybe have up and coming comedians clips be shown and more known comics clips be shown that maybe you wouldve passed over. Alright this is actually a genius idea.
