For those wanting a fairly simple explanation of the Standard Deviation: In a set of values, the mean is the sum divided by the number of values. This results in a value being as close to each of the individual values as possible. However, if I have two sets of values e.g. (0,10) and (4,6) the mean is still 5 for both of them. Therefore the mean doesn't give information about how large the range of values is, that were taken into account. This is where the Standard Deviation comes into play. It gives an average value on how far away each value is from the mean. For our set of (0,10) the standard deviation would be 5, while for the set of (4,6) the standard deviation is 1. Imagine it like this: When taking any random value from a set, how much can we expect that value to be different from the mean? Because in our first set the range is so large, we get a higher expected deviation from the mean, as in our second set the range is smaller and our values lie closer to the mean, we can expect a lower deviation from the mean for each value. That's why it's called the standard deviation.

it's rarely to see such a useful video series. I don't understand why there is so less viewers and subscribers... really hope this series can be made to the end.

So... I'm hoping this isn't an annoying comparison for you, but you remind me of tomatoanus and acerola, and I'm so here for it! These videos are great and the only ones like them so far!
