Man, no need for tape to get these clean lines. Awesome!
I make this type of wall art. Tips for you. Hold your nailing gun the other way. They are made so that the nails will blow out to the side. If you keep using it the way eventually you will have a nail blow out the top and ruin your work. Also if you want to speed this up I stain all my wood pcs before I cut them. I also don't stain down all the way of the inside of the frame as wood glue does not stick well to a stained piece. I just stain low enough so you don't see unfinished part. Also don't forget to seal the backside so it won't pick up moisture and warp. I like your color choices it looks very nice.

Would liquid nails hold all these pieces better than just wood glue?

1/2 inch but I think 1/4 should be ok too.

yeah.. circular saw may not be the best choice but that is what I had. since then I have other options now. I can use band saw, jig saw and I also made a circular saw guide rail.

@@ummaandhalmi Except they clearly aren't the same size. There are two different sized pieces for the painted and stained parts in the center...

Quick question, I got a 2 ft x 2ft plywood board but it seems to be smaller than the one you used... Was yours 2x3 by chance? Just wondering how you fit so many wood cuts on it since mine cant fit as many as yours with a 2x2 board of plywood

it is 2x2 ft board. probably because 1x3 inch wood we get from local store is not exactly 1x3", more likely 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches . is your boards exactly 3" wide?

@@ummaandhalmi Thanks for the quick reply! the pieces that I am cutting on my mitre saw are set to a 45% angle, and have a stopping block at 5 inches on the saw... They are 1"x3" but for some reason I can't fit as many as you on my board and I'm trying to figure out where I went wrong. Possibly my pieces I'm cutting are too long?

What inch are you putting your jig to? 2" or 3"? I realized that I set mine to 5" and thats why they're so big

Hi.. I watched video again, I am not sure where I got the 5 inches??. each block piece size should be 3.5" long side and 2.5" short side. i will check to see if it let me edit the video.
