I’m proud to say I have a bigger vocal range than Geoff, but he still destroys me with low notes ( my vocal range is G1-E7)

I think Geoff is a basso profundo bc of his crazy range

Well of course he is he hit a freaking F#1 in CHEST. This isn’t even his overall lowest chest note. He went down to an E1 in chest in some of voiceplay’s other covers. What’s crazier is that he can go all the way up to an A5 in decent quality falsetto, so that’s great

Well basso profundo is an opera thing entirely, and although his range fits that of a great basso, he said himself he doesn’t hve much power below E2 or something, which of course most basso reps don’t go that low but most but a fourth above that at B2 it would be kinda tricky given that fact… Idk, it’s a whole thing.

@@smashmonster6929 the E1 chest was slided into and doesn’t rly count imo. He held a short F1 chest in their cover of “friends on the other side” though. F#1 is ungodly low though either way, and very few people can do that with quality. Geoff is one of them

Well, it's not, I've been trying to distinguish the techniques for about 10 minutes and was choosing between Head voice and chest voice. Moreover, C#4 in chest is nothing for Geoff. I knew you would doubt something lmao

Qofy heard it wrong. He thought that Geoff’s descent down to the C#1 went even further down to B0 but it definitely stops at C#1.

No, it definitely stops at C#1. That seems to be the end of Geoff's comfort, repeatable zone for subharmonics... although, we know he can go lower.
