FYI, this holding tank will not fit on the 2024 models. There is not enough clearance between the axle and the frame. Anyways, thank you for the helpful video.

I'm glad this video helped. Hopefully it will make it much easier for you to do.

Few things that have me scratching my head. I've heard that sometimes grey water smells worse than black water. Don't know how true that is but in your case, it is since you only pee in the black tank. You can flush out your black tank but not your grey tank. You can pour some clean water down your shower or sink to flush but with a secondary tank, you would have to fill the first one completely in order to get any water into the secondary tank especially since it's got a 3" drop on it. Even with a 3" drop you will still have residue buildup on the walls over time. Has this been a problem? Are you experiencing any smells from the sink or shower drains? I would think not because you would keep the valve close but open just to transfer. To me, it would be a lot easier to just buy a portable holding tank.

This is no different than the factory tank. We use tank treatments in all tanks. Driving around causes the water to move around inside, which means this will be no different than the factory tank. No issues at all to date. We have a portable tank, but the ladder rack is not rated to dynamically hold 250lbs and we don't camp in campgrounds to be able to dump the portable tank. So a permanent tank was the only solution. I would also like to note that the shower and sink drains have P traps. The only way smells would come up is if the P traps are dry, which never happens, even when in storage.

It’s amazing how small a gray tank they use. Do you think it’s because of the weight they don’t want you to tow to much when the tanks are full? I have a 27ft trailer with 40gallon gray tank and find it too small. I bought a jet pump that fits on the outlet and a 28 gallon portable tank. The tank sits inside my camper topper and I pump the water into it then I can drive the truck to the dump station. It’s nice if you don’t want to move the trailer but can be a pain to set up

It's amazing how youtube still doesn't notify me of comments, even with everything turned on. I'm not sure TBH, maybe it's easier for them design wise? Seems like they could use the same dimensions but just make the tank a little deeper and it would be a great improvement with no extra engineering needed.

Is that an RvLock Box for your batteries? I had one on my last trailer but sold it. Waiting for my new GeoPro 15tb but didn’t want to order battery box yet because I didn’t have any measurements. If it is a RvLock box what size did you pick? Nice work on that grey tank upgrade!
