You may have a scooter thats not starting.
Your first step is to charge your battery, or get a new one.
I used a jump box to assume 100% charge when testing.

Is the part number for the genuine buddy starter..
An easy way to test if it's your starter is to apply the jump box leads directly to the starter and ground, if the starter doesnt spin, replace it. I used a friends GY6 starter to test, the electrical connections fit fine, but the gear teeth do not fit the buddy. So you'll need a actual OEM replacement if servicing the genuine buddy. The Starter is accessed by removing the seat, then unscrewing the two screws holding the starter in, then pulling it out and up from the top (under the seat).
IF you hear a CHA-THUNK type noise when trying to start your scooter, but no start, it's the starter that needs replacing. The noise is coming from the starter relay.
*Note - The GY6 Starter and Genuine Buddy starter are not interchangeable, even for gy6 9 tooth models.
