Thank you so much for these! I'm about to change the oil on my new Buddy 125 for the first time and these really helped me feel confident in doing it! Best tutorial I've ever seen to be honest.
Most definitely the highest quality "How To" video I've ever seen! Thanks for putting in so much effort into the production and tips into all your vids. :-)

Shaun Daskam Thanks and you're welcome!
Great job on the Buddy 125 maintenance videos. One of the key characteristics I look for on two wheelers is ease of access to components for adjustment or replacement. I've had motorcycles for years so I appreciate being able to replace bulbs, do oil/filter changes, and valve adjustments without taking a ton of time to remove panels, fairings, or other assemblies. The Buddy 125 is on my short list but am waiting to see if the Stella evolves into a 125 twist and go for next year. . .
Nice video on the oil change. I'm going to try the oil change myself and save myself $100. So much easier than on my Piaggio Fly 150. The drain bolt was in an awkward place.
Excellent video only one suggestion use latex gloves when touching used motor oil. Keep making this awesome videos.
Well done Mitch. Hope you're enjoying Hawaii.

May be a stupid question, but are the things to unscrew in the same general area on a buddy 50? It's older and things are a bit discolored so I wanted to double check
Thank you so much your tutorial videos really help me out.

How do you change oil on 2018 genuine 125cc
Hey does anyone know if this video is would be the same for a Genuine Scooter Co Buddy KICK? I have a 2021 Buddy KICK and while there are several videos for the standard Buddy 125, none are for the KICK per se. They're both GY6 based scooters, I just want to know if there is any real differences in doing the oil change. And while we are at it, is there a list of tools and parts required for a D.I.Y. oil change on any Buddy scooter listed anywhere? Great video BTW, I'm sure its good enough for the KICK just wanted some confirmation.
Now to order the filter.
How many miles between oil changes?
I've got a really stuck Hiflofiltro HF183 on my buddy 150- has anybody had any luck getting these loose?
Thanks for the content

My pleasure!
You might want to use some rubber gloves so you don't get slathered with oil. They are super cheap btw and much easier than scrubbing your hands with detergent.
I know this vid is 7 years old but still super useful! How often should I change the oil filter though?

Once every 2-3 oil changes oil every 2000miles but if the weathers nice you’ll definitely notice a difference changing early at 1500miles
I seriously cannot find the oil filter.
Will this work on a 2006 buddy 125 as well?

Yup!
I have a buddy 170i, is the process much the same?

My 170i manual says to use "JASO MB 15W40" but I haven't found any online. What did you end up using? Thx.
what's the part number for the oil filter?

Do you still recommend the Buddy scooter 125. The seller says it needs a carburetor, my mechanic says it's fishy, it only has 90 miles to. what do you think?

Yes it's good scooter... yeah that's weird only 90 miles... what year and first owner?
What happens if I BARELY overfill past the full line? Thanks so much! I used this for my first ever Buddy oil change.

Hey, I would let engine run for few minutes then wait 10 minutes for oil to settle down then check again… if still over the max line, I suggest to grab syringe with tube to suck little oil out of filler hole or loosen the drain bolt a bit to let oil out… best to keep oil line below the max line to be safe … ride safe out there 🤙🏼

@@ZazaLegends I can't find the Oil Filter on my 2020 Buddy 170i either. Did you find out where it is? Apparently the video's shown is for the 125 not the 170i.
is this for a Genuine Buddy 125 or 50?

the 50 is 2 cycle; thinking this has to be a 4 cycle.

Where the hell is part 2?
For buddy 125 it says SAE15W40 the product in the link is 10w40. I couldn't find 15w40 except for the diesel engines. Can I use 10w40 instead of 15w40?
