There is a screen filter on the spring that comes out.

I have a 170i and I have done several oil changes. I would suggest to remove the other oil drain bolt first to drain the oil. It is a smaller bolt and less messy. Then remove the oil screen bolt, and be sure to remove the screen so you can clean it. Also, those oil drain bolts, and the gear oil drain bolt should be torqued when reinstalling them to 12-14 foot pounds each. You do NOT want to over torque them. Also, loose the canned music. I would prefer the silence over the canned music. I don't think that is anyone's favorite music. I would rather hear you explaining what you are doing. l

So did you add the full 1000ml or extra 200 ml later? The service manual is a bit confusing. Says 800ml but also says 1000ml. The take away I guess is maybe 800ml if you don’t do an oil filter change and only oil change. And 1000ml if you do an oil and oil filter change. That’s my guess anyway as many people on other scooters in Asia change their oil filter every 2 oil changes.

Do you have any videos on when and why to change the other fluids in the buddy?

Hi @cathycriado1700!! Thank you for watching and supporting my channel. I have other videos on HOW to change them but not on when to change it. I usually do. (Oil every 1800 miles, and Transmission every 3000 miles.). Let's work on that VW!!☺️
