I found an abandoned new calf in my neighbors paddock next to our little farm. The owner was just going to leave hers so with my sons help we took her home and I raised her. 'Lucy' is old now now but she still know who her mama is. Cows are beautiful and gentle, curious and loving, especially the girls. She eats New Zealand grass and is probably a little overweight but she gets the best pasture🤗

I totally agree with her comment. I wish all animals were treated so lovingly, and I do not wish all people were. I have vast experience with people and have found that many are cruel, selfish, and apathetic. Yes, there are many I feel sorry for and wish better for, but, as I wrote, not all.

@@FoulPet I do worry about pigs. I worry about all animals. That's why I have about 50 rescued animals. I suffer and sacrifice greatly taking care of them. You tell me to fry some bacon and worry about the pig... Well, first, I don't take instructions from you, and second, I'm the type who feels bad/sad when I see chicken meat because I know what kind of life the poor chicken from whom the meat came lived. I just don't need a jerk like you to tell me to worry; I do it constantly. I also don't need you to tell me to donate towards helping people. I did full-time, unpaid volunteer work for three decades trying to help people. I sacrificed and suffered vast money, time, and opportunities. I sacrificed the prime of my life. And, now, I resent almost every minute of it. I found that most (but not all) people were unworthy. I have never, though, resented helping animals. I repeat. Your original comment was off the subject. It implied a correction to V Mandelaris, when no such correction was called for even in the slightest way. Also, we all live in boundaries that were created to limit exposure to dangerous animals...i think we call them suburbs or cities, however, anything past those boundaries encroaches on their domain. Besides, most of us humans are the more dangerous predators out there anyway...due to guns, tree stands & traps. If were just doing what we have to i dont understand the sport people find in hunting or the luxury people see in wearing something else's skin. I dont get people who abuse animals but would be terrified to step into a ring with a guy like me. Those are some of the weakest people are species has to offer this world and shame on their parents for unleashing such monsters. Anyone who takes advantage of another life but claims victim themselves is truly a curse on this world. From politics to police to animal abusers. Just Weak people who play tuff on things that cant stick up for them self due to one reason or the other. The sickening part is those same people normally are acquitted from charges due to privilege and laws that were made for them. This means when they do bad sh** they dont have to be worried because they understand that the laws on their side. Funny enough though that these same people would never survive in a real battle. Especially against a real man. Anyway..... Im sure your an awesome person but i think what you said was an excuse for our species. No offense my friend but Im just done with excuses in people who do bad s××t but attempt to gas light away from it. Those type of people are why the world is what it is. My long horns would stab you if you tried what he is doing. This is only possible with bottle fed animals that have lots of human contact from day one. I guess I could take the crown new baby away and bottle feed it so it will like me better than her mom. I thought about it but that doesn’t sound too nice either does it?

All the way from Scotland you'r a good man with a good genuine heart for these gentle beasts. I hope you all have a very long and happy life together. This has just made my day as I have always loved this breed. So powerful and yet gentle by nature.

These highlanders are amazing, kind and sensitive creatures! One day, years ago, I was walking the forest with my wife as we all of a sudden met a group of about 16 highlanders. We kept distance, some 20 yards, to let them cross the path. However, they didn't, but stood still, peacefully ruminating. The biggest bull slowly walked up to me until he stood right before me. Then, with the point of his mighty horn, he touched the area of my belly button. (Okay, it was winter, I was wearing a solid coat, but to the bull this seemed to be no more than a tiny piece of nothing.) I don't know why, but I didn't feel any fear, and neither did my wife. He touched me almost tenderly. Only this little belly button area. No pressure. Then, all of a sudden, he stepped back, and the whole group disappeared calmly into the forest. It was as if he made a statement like: Hi bro, let's be clear about one thing, I'm the boss right here, no hard feelings, and if you understand that, you're very welcome. I'll never ever forget!

When I was growing up my uncle had a Bruma bull ! He was so gentle we could crawl on his back and ride him all over the farm !!!! So cool !!!!! 🐂 🐃

I am speechless trying to take in the size of that beautiful animal. Just trying to compare his size with yourself. His head is huge and the length and thickness of his horns, is staggering , he is an incredible beast. All credit to you he is so gentle. You obviously have a deep understanding and connection. As someone who lives next to a farm in the UK , I see a lot of Scottish Highland cattle, and they are BIG

Brushing a beautiful beast of that size must have the most calming effect on your soul. If i lived closer i would volunteer at that farm as much as possible.

Proof that caring and loving kindness helps so many animals. I think sometimes we don't realize that they have feelings like we have. ❤

It's so beautiful to see how these animals seem to be in such peace with the man who cares for them, is so heartwarming seeing two species finding peace and company within each other. Definitely a bond of pure love that only those who truly connect with animals can describe and relate to.

The world needs more people like him, kind and caring. More power to him

A real bond between man and animal is something that can not be duplicated, it is true and pure, it is simply beautiful.
