They do need to open up this enclosure! It’s too small for them. There is not a lot of room to roam!

They don't have the room to open it, it's a city zoo. That's why the family is there, they are a small family. But soon the boy's will grow & need to start families of their own, Genki isn't young anymore , so Momotaro will need a new wife, if she's a young wife they could have many children so again the enclosure will be too small. I think they are trying to raise money to make a few changes

Going inside through the door is a stressful time for Genki and Gentaro. The zookeepers must be very focused when they open and close the doors.

There is a reason that the zoo keepers have to let them go in separately. Momotaro is apt to dominate their favorite foods. Now that they would like the whole members to eat enough , they divide into three rooms. However latele kintaro breaks the rule. lol Genki is confused.

They need a encloser like what Djeeco and family have

Imagine them being able to run and play in that grass, I wish all the gorillas had that enclosure. I don’t know how they do it EVERY day all 4 of them in here, I’m surprised they don’t fight more? They are amazing to watch thanks for taking videos.

Dear Ellen I appreciate the super thanks. Recently the number of visitors from overseas is soaring up. I overhear various languages. This October is a tipping point to introduce the Momotaro family to the world and improve the whole environment in the zoo since the zoo is now celebrating a history of 120years since it was established. The zoo director told me in person last June that we would prepare for something new for people outside Japan. Hope he will make it happen. For instance, you could support the Momotaro family in a different way. In a video of an interview with him ,he stated so.

Yes, they hear our voices exactly. That's why we should observe them quietly. There are airholes underneat the glass window.

If and when Gentaro moves to start challenging Momentaro in a serious way, the zoo will have to move Gentaro! He won't get the same result as he does with Genki. Momo won't have it. It will end up being a brawl. Regardless of Gentaro being his son, he is the leader first and foremost. Tbh, I already think Gentaro should have been moved. Gentaro is ready to be a leader of his own troop. I don't think Gentaro would do well in a bachelors. He definitely craves leadership and hierarchy.

I have been thinking that for awhile now for at least the past month, I’ve watched video of her pregnant with BabyKins and her belly sat up high right under her breast and round and hard looking like now. I wonder if she is and they don’t know or is waiting to tell us

She is NOT PREGNANT GUYS !! I REALLY THINK GINKI HAS A TYROID ISSUE !

Love Momotaro and family a lot❤ But their living situation is animal abuse. They seem like they're all under stress. I'd be unhappy too if i were a Gorilla living in horrible conditions like this. No Gorillas in America live this way. It seems like this troop is the only troop living in bad conditions with hardly any fresh veggies, fresh water, etc. They don't even lay on straw/hay. Instead they have those filthy blankets. This Zoo should be shut down and the Gorillas and other animals need to be relocated somewhere else. I'm glad the U.S. doesn't send Gorillas overseas. Whomever owns this Zoo should consider remodeling their enclosure for their mental, and emotional needs. This isn't suitable for a Gorilla to live. Momotaro seems depressed and they just don't seem very happy. Poor Genki might chew off more fingers for Christ's sake! I am really considering not watching any video that they're in because of the way that they live. It's just sad and depressing. Gorillas need trees, grass, a huge space to roam and forage. Shabani's enclosure wasn't that great either and now they live in a more spacious enclosure and seem to be doing very well. In the Bronx Zoo, the Gorillas live like royalty!! With so much space and greenery. I saw so much food laid out for them. A SilverBack is a King and should live like one❤🦍

Stress? I don't think so,they born in zoo,they already get used to it. Also stop comparing USA zoo and Japan zoo. Look at how different the USA land size comparing to Japan. Even Japan people live in small place. The important is gorilla looks healthy.

I agree with you . I also think that's why Gentaro have his bad days . He is very smart and a thinker . He is also getting much bigger . That habitat their living in is very boring and small . It's time for an upgrade for sure .👍😲🙄😲.

Uh yea they are stressed! If you can’t see that your delusional! I’m glad there are at least some people that understand there’s problems and mental health issues here. Just because Japan is small and Japanese people live in small places should no way what so ever correlate with and wild/zoo animals let alone great apes. If you don’t have the space for them or can’t have the proper facilities for them you shouldn’t have them. They were robbed of their their life in the wild by us humans whether they were born in captivity or not. Just because they are used to it there is this thing called instincts and a wild animal will always be a wild animal.
