The game is just too beautiful. Characters are cute,relatable n the story is like an anime. Its doesn't feel like a video game

It’s just the game style it had a charm that no other gacha anime style game had not even the honkai games (obviously this is just my opinion enjoy what you like)

The covid pandemic gave people nothing to do inside and this game had really good promotion so bored people decided to play the game. Ig the game stuck to a lot of people because of how genuinely charming it looks

Because it's a good game despite a greedy developer. When i first entering genshin world, wow man it is so beautiful and amusing, the game is fun, back then i spent 10-12 hours a day just to play it, i've been playing since 1.5 btw, unlike wuthering waves, there's no skip button so we forced to listening to the story and also every type of quest, world quest, story or main quest, they're highlighting the characters even sometimes they have their own special NPC design for the quest, it's a simple idea but also a very good move to hook players. Because of this they want to keep playing this game

Dont worry. I still remember first anniv shitshow. They lost me then.

There will be no another anime OW game that gonna as successful as genshin. The gamble that mihoyo took for genshin is huge. Not even big corpo like tencent or netease want to gamble that much money.
