Kazuha himself says he holds no grudge because of that cuz that was a fair and honorable way to go. If he didn’t want to die, he just shouldn’t have asked for a duel which is tradition and fucking LAW that the loser will die.

Ei did not start the Vision Hunt Decree though, though she is aware of it but she did not actively start it nor did she actively end it though, she just meditate for really long time and choose to ignore things. Ei and the Shogun(as in the puppet body) are a little different, the shogun being a puppet is a bit mechanical when doing things, because most of the time Ei is meditating, it's not really she is doing the things. Well it is, but the Shogun is rather emotionless whereas Ei is more flexible.

I had my doubts about Ei but after the story quest, she's sorta like Zhongli except that Zhongli was willing to put faith in his people to look after themselves. Ei was knew but the erosion, and well, she is the God of Eternity, and that wouldn't be good for her. I knew she was lost in the meaning of her goal for eternity, but I guess, she's just another caring (in her own way) and broke god.

First Time It was the shogun (mechanical, no dialogue option) but After the archon quest i went back and i found a Happy Ei greeting me in the tea pot. And given some line of Hers, i came to the deduction that She Is leaving fighting to the shogun, then taking the driver seat once out of combat

It is later revealed that before creating the automata, raiden experimented to see if it can really work by making prototype, and that prototype was scaramouche

@@Statusgod23 spoiler (but is a confirmed theory) Scaramouche is a failed “puppet” that would act as Ei while she’s in her plane of euthemia, the “raiden shogun” we can see as cold and heartless is Ei’s puppet. When they made the first prototype it didn’t work correctly, that prototype reactivated and gained consciousness. It was picked up by the fatui and it’s power was unlocked (it was sealed). That failed prototype is scaramouche.

it’s interesting the route of redemption mihoyo went with ei! i enjoy how they fleshed it out, and showing her actual character has been super adorable. it’s still gonna take some time for me to completely like her (even though i’m pulling for her guaranteed), but with how they’re doing it it’s gonna be easy

I love this -innocently clueless- girl. She is simply perfect. Never, in any game, have I seen such a character tailored to me so much I completely relate with them. There are many best girls in Genshin. Some are underrated like Amber. Others are true queens like Beidou, Fischl and Ayaka. Others are simply cute af like Klee, Ganyu and Hu Tao. But Ei? Ei towers over all of them.

I always knew she was going to have a human-heart aspect to her. She lost people, she was afraid, and she wanted everything to never change again if I'm seeing things correctly. I do not regret getting her one bit. I can't wait to get to this part in the story. Sweet, sweet Ei. Your heart is pure.

So... We introduced Baal to the arts.... I can see her becoming an artist, painter-photographer, and/or even a book writer. She's finally have the Eternity she sought, immortilization of text and images...

When I found out that she was basically acting like a child, I couldn't help but think; "This is someone they put their faith in?" Imagine what would've happened if the people found out why she was so cold and distant. That they were dealing with a dummy, while the real god was locked away, refusing to accept the inevitable reality of humanity. I'm sorry, it's just that Aether dealt with a god that let his people do as they wish, a god that tested his people to see if they can survive without him, to a god that was afraid of change.

The fact the fanart was canon is amazing to me.

This is like an Immortal Edo period Japanese person stepping out of a cave and taking a look at what happened to Japan and its culture.

Up until this quest arc, she was all “step on me, mommy” vibe. She was just too cute her and put her into top tier waifu
