    One of the most underrated speeches at this event. Showed how pure Kobe was as both a basketball player, a father, and a human being.

    Coach Geno Auriemma gave the best speech! What he said should touch everyone in that room and encourage all these famous men! If you want to be like Kobe then your family and children need to come first because that was what Kobe was all about.

    Kobe had fallen out with his dad, his mother put his high school and early nba memorabilia up for auction without telling him. He had to buy his things back after his sister testified that the parents did it without his knowledge. They didn’t like Vanessa and hadn’t been in contact with them for a long time. This served as a reminder that life is short please make peace with everyone in your life.

    I will agree 💯 that it’s all about the children or should have been. Why on earth would they choose go up in the chopper when they were aware that the LAPD suspended all flights for that day because of dense fog⁉️

  • @maureensullivan8898

    All I can say is that I live in the town next to Kobe's and the fog was not bad at all after Kobe and Gianna went to Mass and boarded the helicopter around 9AM. It got worse as the morning went on, but I suppose that the fog was already bad in Calabasas. I also heard someone from LAPD say that their helicopters were not as advanced as the one that Kobe and 8 others were in, and that's why theirs were grounded. Tragic all around.

    I love dogs ⁉️⁉️⁉️ What are you referring to?! Sick individual because of what?! I’m saddened that the 9 individuals perished that day especially when it was unnecessary. The investigation revealed there was no mechanical failure so that leads to the fact that it was most likely human error. I’m to blame for that?

    I dont know or follow basketball teams or the game really...but over the years I caught several glimpses of Kobe appearing to be the kind of guy who wanted everything, "his way." no negotiations, mostly self centered and arrogant for a long time. Maybe that's why the helicopter took flight (anyway)? but....what do I know? It just appeared that way to ME...

    I didn't sense that at all. Geno seemed quite sincere and the personal stories that he has with these two, especially Gianna, would lead me to believe that this loss was quite personal to him. He wasn't grieving over the loss of a great basketball player and his child, he was grieving because he lost two friends. And you just know that Gianna would have been a great Husky! (~);-}
