@@egg4109 that show's your lack of intelligence in that you can't see that there's no stipulation on appearance past the five squares. So as long as you fet the five squares in two moves you'll solve the problem. The problem you are having is that it's not in the box thinking.

There's a way to make 7

For anyone wondering, there is another way. Take the first square at the top and move the left stick to the right and the top one underneath.

You can move one from both outsides to make a cross inside one of the two remaining squares

There is a simpler way, move the right one up and the left one down and then there will be 4 small squares and a large square made up of all the small ones

I knew it the second I saw the squares. I had a bit of a different idea but my idea, or their’s is valid

Easy. Take the two from the bottom right. One goes across the top to make a box, the other goes across the bottom.

Can't you take one stick over from the right, slide it into the middle. Then another from the outside right into the middle bottom. It's two moves and you have 5 complete boxes.

its really a simple puzzle. You only need to remove either the two on the left top square or two on the right bottom square to complete the two unfinished square that only need one each to complete.

You can do it in one move: 3rd central horizontal stick one space left and one space down.
