Very cool guys, nice solution. I have a F-150 and it has a plastic type bedliner witch causes everything to slide so I would use pillows, blankets, or foam pieces to cushion the plane. This looks pretty secure and is cost efficient. Very nice.

This would be really cool for that type of liner.

Thanks! I sold the truck for an SUV, so I don't use it anymore, but it worked perfectly while I did. All credit to Dave for the design and the work putting it together.
Brilliant! Thanks, DAVE! Time to make a TACO!

OH and I'm presently converting a D model P-51 to a B model .. just got done with forming the Malcolm hood!!😜
Great job Dave you did one heck of a job looks so professional also and a good idea with the tape because duct tape tears latterly and vertically pretty easy on its own

Thank you🙂
Thank you for the video, there are a lot of fantastic ideas there that I will be able to utilise for transporting my models a lot safer. I will pinch the conduit on the tailgate strap idea for my trailer. Again, thank you for taking the time to make this video and sharing.

@@RCVideoReviews I like them very much. I’ve had them in my last 3 trucks.
Hello thank you all very much for the nice comments and we are always willing to share whatever Solutions we come up with. Hopefully the all new Taco transport system 😁 will be a good solution for for lots of people.
Nice but not sure it would work without the cover to protect it from the wind when driving at highway speeds ??
@RCVideoReviews
Жыл бұрын
TBH: I didn't try. That cover was a tri-fold and I kept it closed at least halfway while driving.
That is why I have always had 8' beds on my pickups.

I'd be envious of an 8' bed on fly days :)
The website random heli has some good solutions for securing your aircraft for transport
Cool video dude! i also post rc content and man let me tell you its so much fun ! i liked and subscribed by the way !

Welcome to the channel.
Oh yeah by the way I forgot to mention the transport Matt ( Taco transport system😁 ) it's also good for holding your flight box, Chargers ,transmitter case .just put some sticky back hook Velcro on the bottom of them and stick them right to that mat they will not move have a good one
What is the name of the airplane in back of the truck?

That’s an 85” Skywing RC Extra NG.
5:42 shows the stark contrast between road regulations in the U.S.A versus New Zealand. John, if you did this here in New Zealand, you would be pulled over by the coppers & fined on the spot. Because a.) This is illegal in my country; & b.) It is also considered dangerous.

Trucks all over the US run around with stuff hanging out the back. There are rules of course--usually the limit for a standard non-commercial vehicle is about 4'. It's the operator's responsibility to ensure cargo is secure. I like the concept of personal responsibility over government regulation.

Dave is missing the tips of his fingers..I wonder if he is diabetic....but good on him to not let that stop him from flying

Oh I'm missing a little more than the tips of the fingers but yeah it does not stop me from doing anything at all ,and just for a reference I do have two kids of my own😁🤣 oh and not diabetic that was from birth.

@@davidpaker626 well it's refreshing to see that you don't let it define you I somehow got it in my head that it was from diabetic or from prop incident😂😂 the imagination can be a pain sometimes....but also kudos to the build and keep killing it...btw spektrum is better.....I saw your lanyard say futaba (only. Ajoke I've never gotten to use futaba)
@davidpaker626

@@Krash_fpv well thank you very much I appreciate it and the Futaba thing I've been using Futaba for close to 50 years now cuz I've been flying almost before I knew how to walk and I like it, don't say i would never use Spectrum just all my stuff is Futaba . I do know you get more Bells and whistles with Spectrum. Thanks again and have a good one🙂
