Комедия

Here's my idea: Give Alexei Sayle and Tim Minchin a whole lot of money to make a weekly television show.
"A genius is just a nuts person who turns out to be right" I want that on a shirt

Crazy Goddess Agreed for the most part, but that "Snap" moment was just bizarre.
I can't help but notice Tim's look of bewilderment throughout the whole show, as if to say "What the fuck is going on in here?"
Even the crowd is hilarious
HARMONICA TEETH. I love it.

Alexei sure can dance. Anyone seen, "Didn't you kill my brother"? Amazing.
Great seeing Alexei again
I genuinely loved the NHS souvenir idea! :D
"I went to a chiropractor and got another appointment". LMAO, that's all you ever get.
Tim has been a favorite of mine since I found out about him, but I was really happy to see Alexei again! I miss The Young Ones.

I just found out about Tim last night (brilliant!) and I too, miss The Young Ones. I think I have some old VHS copies somewhere in box.
I love how tim hits him and he doesn't even care, if this was a show in my country, the other guy would have snapped. Love this show though
Quit your physics course kid, it's not sinking in

xbfalcon83 Not without the moon it's not, it would just float away wouldn't it?
I am so easily amused by Tim Minchin. He glows. A conspiracy of fun 🤩
I can't believe how common people thinking the moon causes Earths gravity is.

it's like people haven't gone to school... But I think he was joking entirely. I hope. We need the moon for the tides tho. I'm pretty sure we'd be fucked without the moon

Krickistina plays We would be pretty fine I mean we wouldn't just die from it. We may not have developed as life without the moon since potentially the motion of the tides played a part in the first cells developing.

jasper petersen I was commenting on how common the belief is not how "common people" are doing anything. You would know that if you could read. The sentence doesn't even make remote sense if you read it as me talking about "common people".

I know right? And it's somehow scary by how it's entirely random at certain points and yet nobody gives a shit. British entertainment is fucking awesome!
This is crazier, funnier, and more intelligent than anything I've seen on US TV in the past 10 years.

I'd never even heard of this show, it just popped up on my suggestions, and I think it's hilarious!
This is hilarious!!
I haven't seen Alexei for ages, Excellent
I like how Dave seemed so surprised when John put his dentures in his hand.
After 23:00 its like I'm in another dimention!
I look the exact same way, when I listen to people talking "genius" as Tim Minchin did.

Oddly fascinated, yet disgusted
Gosh that physicist guy on 3:13 is ATTRACTIVE! 0_0
i think to that sheep thing, directly before and after the jump wouldnt there be a greater force acting on the floor as the sheep pushes down before leaving the ground and then lands once more. That extra force would create extra fuel consumption so it would have no effect. I think.
I love this!! Brilliant ! Thank you for posting this damo.
In fact, the truck would weigh more if the budgies were in flight, because E=mc^2, and the truck full of flying budgies would have greater mass.
The first question is nonsense. Our force of gravity is from the bulk of the earth itself. The moon affects the tides. But the force of the earth keeps us drawn to it
nice job Tim! Stellar.

Phew..... On the face of it seemed like is stumbled across "genius" and "Tim Minchin" in the same sentence, legitimately. Narrow escape.....
oh we got mobile pubs here that's is like a bar with multiple bike seats and people sit at the bar, drink have fun and peddle around the city.

"What is happening. WTF am I doing here." - Tim
lol hamster balls for larger pets
Cyriak did the intro.
I still have a shameless crush on Alexi Sayle...
Brilliant.
This show is perfect for Dad jokes...
The whole sheep thing wouldn't work because, since "every action has an equal and opposite reaction", the sheep push down on the lorry with as much force as they jump upwards with, thereby don't saving any weight consumption
It took me 24 minutes to ask myself "what the fuck am I watching?!"
Alexei turned in to his own alter-ego " A Fat Bastard" :)
Am I the only one nerdy enough to think it ironic that for the plural of "genius," they say "geniuses?"
Wow, series 2 was a mess. The first series had potential, but this was all over the place. Alexis Sayle looked so depressed at the situation. Tim Minchin gave up trying to be funny, as soon as he realised how wasted his efforts would be on it. Dave Gorman is a comedy legend, but you wouldn't tell from this. I think it was a blessing that it ended before too many people even noticed it, and Dave Gorman ended up writing and starring in the the absolute classic-in-the-making Modern Life Is Goodish.
20:25... when the camera is pointed at the crowd... am i the only one seeing someone looking like David Draiman there?!?
the lack of very basic physics is worrying!!

D Williams I agree. They desperately needed Prof Brian Cox on the show.
@LootFragg

+D Williams Not to argue or anything. But isn't the point of this format intellectual goofiness for entertainment? That was the first time I've seen this show and I was quite baffled at how well everything was coordinated. I liked it. But it is apparent, although admittedly not obvious, that people were sayind the darndest things for entertainment. Like troll science.

+LootFragg still little concerning the guy in his 2nd year of a physics degree couldn't ascertain any implication of the moon disappearing....
@LootFragg

D Williams I doubt he was supposed to represent the physics faculty. It's rather light-hearted fun. In fact, none of these audience members seem to genuinely aspire to claim the title of a genius. It's just how the show works. Like scripted improv. For instance, that one man suggesting that lorries carrying budgies make the budgies fly during transport to reduce the load on the lorry. Which is hilarious and bizarre. Physics Andrew says at 7:17 : "I'm gonna say no. But then, I haven't done the module of budgie aerodynamics. I've got a lot to learn." Bloke isn't being sincere. It's all just taking the piss all in the name of entretaînement.
I love the idea of a karma machine. xD
Those craters on the moon are a hint at another reason why we need it

TIM
It's so great that he hit him. That's so funny.
Wow what a crazy ass show but entertaining to say the least.
How did this get two series when all Mitchell's series only got one?
22:47 HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH genius!! :D
Bonkers!
This 2nd year university student thinks the earth would be lighter without the moon???? WTF!
I'm pretty sure the physics student was wrong both times. We would still have all the gravity we have now and budgies that weren't touching the truck in a downward fashion would reduce the weight.
@jamesemslie2201

I'm fairly sure that the sheep guy was joking. I'm fairly sure they're all joking, as a matter of fact. That seems to me to be the point.

@samobrien815

Nope, the downward pressure created by the wing flaps used to support the weight of the budgies would just replace the force of the weight. For every action and all...
I’m surprised they didn’t know at this point in time that earth’s gravity comes from the earth’s mass rather than the moon’s
Somehow I don't think that lad was actually a physics student
@brhodes0
7 жыл бұрын
alihaggis78 the sad thing is that he probably was. Because some universities advertise and will admit literally anyone with a pulse, all they want is their grubby mitts on the poor kids student grant leaving them in considerable debt with a useless degree 3 years down the line
The first 3 suggestions were all based on a misunderstanding of physics. Weird coincidence.
Are they taking the piss?
Is this still on? I think this is brilliant haha
I've fekkin been in mobile bars, alky!
Intro is so cool and one person who make it . CYRIAK HARRISON
Two entertaining comedians, and Dave Gorman
I weep for our education system.
/Geniuses/ is perfectly correct. Genii is the correct plural for "genius loci" (the spirit of a place). The correct plural for genius (intelligent person) is, as given, /geniuses/. TRiG.
Nemesis finder is genius!
How did this get to a second series?
While its true that genius comes from Latin, the plural version (Genii) is only applied when using the word in its original meaning, that is, a spirit of some kind. So if you are talking about people who are intelligent, its Genius, and if you are talking about spirits, its Genii.
Poor Tim, he just wanted to play his little songs.
So the title of the show if in fact ironic?
Was that intro made by cyriak?
I am working hard to remedy that!
It should be quite easily done. Report back when you've finished!
the girl around 5:00 reminds me of Arya from GOT (Maisie Williams)
This is funny
stop you are giving me hiccups from laughing !!!! I needs to drink water backwards from a glass a trick my Dad taught me as a kid and it works EVERY TIME TRY IT Jay
nice intro
Brit humour can be safely assumed to be heavily ironic (or sardonic/satirical/sarcastic) unless packaged with a warning label. People who take the ideas of this game show seriously (and go on to dismiss their plausibility) are clearly not from a Brit culture. Possibly a culture with Germanic influences (eg US, Sthn Chile and other parts of Sth America, Netherlands, etc etc...) Any care to 'fess up?

robbzooi I agree with you, I am Dutch as well and can confirm that our humour is dark and sarcastic a lot of the time. Yes, there are also the very ''touchy'' people, but who doesn't have those in a culture?
@muffinproject

No, people who don't get that it's a joke based on everything being bullshit aren't from a specific country. It has more to do with educational levels and ignorance.

robbzooi We might have the most swearwords, but dutch people complain sooo much it annoys me. There's also a dutch saying that goes: 'Normaal is gek genoeg.', which means: normal is crazy enough.If what you say is true, that the dutch are known for their sarcastic and dark humor, I haven't noticed anything at all since I started living here. The only stereotype I know to be almost entirely true about the dutch, is that they are moaning cunts and perpetually stoned (maybe not the last one, but weed is legal here :D).
