    I don't want to take away from your cleaning recipes, but years ago when I was buying Pyrex baking dishes at yard sales, they were mostly covered in years old baked on grease. I would buy them for 25 cents or so, (because of the grime), take the home, put them into a plastic bag, double it, and put an ammonia soaked paper towel inside, tightly tie up the bag, put it outside for overnight. The next morning, that baked on grease would litterally fall off. After washing in hot water and dish soap, they looked like new! The biggest plus is no hard scrubbing. That hint worked on stainless steel also, I don't know about aluminum pans.

    I use ammonia to clean my oven. I put a small dish of ammonia and a larger pot of hot steamy water in the oven and leave it over night. The grime just wipes off!

    The ammonia will etch aluminum. It works similarly to Easy-Off Oven Cleaner.

    This also works on oven racks tied up in a big trash bag.

    @@eclairtreo oven cleaner is sprayed on and left to soak. I just let the fumes from ammonia do the work. I don’t use it to scrub anything.

    Suggestion , I’d put a little wire rack in the pan so it would lift up The coffee pot off the bottom of the pan.

    I used the Dollar tree pink stuff, to clean the bottom of my Paul Revere cook wear that has the copper bottoms, I was very impressed with it most of the grime came right off it's not perfect of course because it's used but you can tell the difference for sure 😊

    We have a Pyrex tea pot too. It has a medal basket to put the coffee grounds in too. I use it mostly to boil water for hot cereal or tea.

    Liquid/ gel type dish washer soao works well on vehickl engine grease and grime. Paint it on with a chipmtuoemoait brush then let sit for 5 tom15 minutes. Optionally, turn the e gine on to let tje soao,hestnup,but jit so much as ti dry it out or burn it on. Hose off under pressure.

    Any tips on getting corning ware paint off of an electric coil burner? I once let a teapot boil dry and it stuck to the burner. When the burner cooled the pot came off, but there is now white paint "glued" to the burner.

  • @LivingOnADime

    @LivingOnADime

    I did that once except the teapot fused to the coil! If it won't come off with a razor blade you will probably just have to get a new coil.
