Hate to be the cynic but I’m getting the feeling that Tenet will get nods for Best Cinematography, Best Special Effects, Best Editing, and Best Original Screenplay. That’s it, I don’t think the Academy will consider giving Tenet anything else. Of course if I’m talking about wins, Tenet should win for Cinematography and Special Effects. I don’t believe it’ll win anything else.
@caleblim6890

PeterFile 69 Tenet IS an original screenplay. Yes, there are certain influences from Primer in terms of the very basic concept, but the way it was manipulated and written was very much original. It’s like saying The Italian Job isn’t an original screenplay because Ocean’s 11 did heists first. Yes, obviously Tenet owes some of it’s origin to Primer, but not a particularly large amount of it. As for Doctor Strange...don’t make me laugh. If anything, Doctor Strange ripped off Nolan’s Inception by copying it’s visuals. Nolan being inspired by Doctor Strange is such an idiotic idea that I cannot wrap my mind around it. The two concepts are so separate that besides the idea of time manipulation, there’s nothing connecting the two. Okay, let’s do this, then. Everyone copied HG Wells’ “The Time Machine”. Nothing with time travel after that is original. Hate to break it to you, but that’s not how originality works. TENET is an original screenplay, and a damn good one. It owes part of it to Primer, and nothing at all to Doctor Strange.
There's something abt this interviewer. He's my fav so far because he knows what he does unlike any other interviewer who just ask random questions which are often annoying.

There’s actually a really cool interview where Christopher Nolan was sharing the vision behind how he gets so many side plots and side plots and depth and layers in his movie I believe he compared it to a music track and how many layers it has and how each layer plays an important role What I love about his movies is that everything has a purpose You watch some movies and you get these big explosions etc but it doesn’t add anything Whereas literally everything Nolan includes has a purpose He’s not even a fan of CGI as he wants to create that authentic feel He’s such a master of what he does and a very intelligent and articulate guy As an aspiring filmmaker myself I’d say he’s definitely up there with one of the best film directors/producers in 21st century

Cristian Madrigal trust me. The movie’s great if you get to understand it. I just watched it this afternoon in IMAX and have been binge watching videos explaining it

WB needs Nolan more than anyone for an original movie, the studio didn't want to dissapoint Nolan at all

Givary Lubis is that a problem? They’re also doing the same with Matt Reeves’ The Batman

I'm here for Rob, man
0:46 Close your eyes and listen and you'd swear it was his father talking. Bright future ahead for this guy! Can't wait to see TeneT!!
I just saw TENET and this is an incredible movie. the story line, the physics applied, the actors performance, the music, the colors everything is made in a such a way that it twists with out mind, yet the movie is going forward but somehow I felt inverted is it me or that was the required effect. Sir Nolan I am a huge fan you are a Mastermind Genius.
Such a great interview. Shout out to the extraordinary cast AND the interviewer. He was able to really bring up so many cool stories
But can they go back in time and stop that guy from eating an undercooked bat?

They can just like they saved us with the murder hornets but they won't because that so called 'undercooked bat' wasn't the source. It was something worse.

Yeds they can, and they did, but every time some other guy eats the bat :(
I smell the Oscar cause the music scoring 🔥 Seriously can't wait and hate this Corona for a very long time 😌
Love your interviews. Engaging, fun, down to earth. When you ask a question, it’s like to friends talking over coffee. Thank you. 🙏
The Performance of JDW was great. Didn't know, he was a Football player. Huge respect. He is gifted with these two talents
Cast : We had a rough time, but it was fun. Nolan: I got to buy and crash a plane , it was fun !
John David’s character was a bit underdeveloped, but he personally is awesome. His laugh is so authentic 😂
Ali Plumb is such a good interviewer! He always gets everyone to engage and have fun! He needs more recognition!
I wonder if Christopher Nolan watches Red Dwarf because ‘Tenet’ reminded me of the “Backwards” episode.
Yup this is how you describe Tenet: "it's a Christopher Nolan movie"
Robert Pattinson: *was in Harry potter* Robert Pattinson: “You’re trying to stupefy people” Me: 😏
The small clips in this interview made me realize that I definitely need to watch this movie again. The cinema experience was just breathtaking.
I watched it yesterday, and I'll watch it again! Not because I didn't understand but I loved it! Even this is the first time ever that I understood the movie of Nolan on watching it for the first time. Generally, 2-3 times needed.
I can hear Denzel's voice in him. I don't know if anyone noticed in the movie but he even has Denzel's unique and cool gait.
Great Interview, I'd love to meet Chris, he seems like such a legend.
That movie was incredible. I was absolutely blown away and definitely need to see it again.
I've just seen the movie and I found myself smiling at every scene inversion was used because it was so unique and I've never seen anything like this in any movie. This film truly blew my mind.
Great interview
Amazing movie watched it yesterday, everything about it is great Music, action, camerawork Ok the time manipulation was a little bit confusing sometimes but not always Gonna get the steelbox

It’s an ambitious combo of non-linear narrative meets time manipulation. I think it’s his best work since ‘Inception’.
Every movies he produced is like he brought back from the future
One of the best interviewers. I enjoy watching his interviews.
Robert saying stupefying people Me - “Harry Potter reference!!!!”
Crashing a plane with no survivors..... Wait, wrong Christopher Nolan movie.

that 'don't try to understand it - feel it' line really has a point when it comes to this movie. even when i was a bit lost during the movie it was fun because of how brilliantly it was put together. form and substance just bouncing off each other in a way that only the best of the best achieve 🙏
The questions asked were so entertaining yet non cliche :) More interviewers should be like him
Just watched great movie!
