    One of the hardest addictions for me to break was the sugar addiction. When I heard Bella say eat butter when you want sugar and the feeling goes away - I thought "I can do that!" Another difficult thing to get through my head was eat fat to lower cortisol. What? Is it really that easy? Yes. Yes it's that easy. I used to....and still do to some extent have anxiety issues but when I take a bite of butter the anxiety becomes a non issue. Crazy Wonderful!

  • @sharonrussell1516

    Wow, that's wonderful. Has eating butter helped you get rid of your sugar addiction? That's my biggest issue also. 😕 Do you drink tea or coffee?

  • @tamirundell8392

    @tamirundell8392

    5 ай бұрын

    @@sharonrussell1516 yes! Giving up sugar was difficult but it was easier with butter. Just knowing that I had an alternative made it so much better. I can't say that I no longer want sugar because I do but I don't reach for it at the store, I don't go through the candy aisle, I don't lay around thinking what kind of sweet delight would be good. I have found that my new size is wonderful, people I hardly know tell me how good I look, I've been single for 20 years and men are opening the door for me. These are all positives that far outweigh the desire for sugar. Please find what you can to break the bond of sugar. You will be thankful you did. And if you break down and drink a soda or eat a candy always remember you can start again NOW! You don't have to wait until tomorrow or next week or the new moon. I hope you can make the start today. Yes I do drink coffee and tea but they are unsweetened. I have quit sugar several times but it was the sweetened drinks that pulled me back in. I have a metabolic problem that is fueled by sugar so it's my life that I'm risking now. So playing around with sweeteners is no longer an option. I hope you can find the strength to stay away from it. I watched a young man on KZread that said start by writing down everything that you know is wrong with your body. Then after 30, 60 or 90 days go back and see if these things have resolved. My knees quit hurting walking up stairs. I have so much more energy, sleep is better. I've been amazed at how I feel now compared to last year.

    Hi from Australia. Ive been carnivore for 7mths, im a 63yo man. Unbelievable results. My daughter went carnivore, and she had her first baby, a girl. She fed her basically carnivore since 4mths of age. She took to it instinctively and enthusiastically. She demolishes bacon and eggs for brekky, and uses her little choppers to eat lamb chops. She adores the fat. She is off the chart literally for growth and development, and walked at 9mths. Brain health is an often overlooked part of carnivore diet. The whole family can eat this way. It will be actually cheaper and way simpler to prepare than catering for 5 different people. Good luck.

    My dad did all the things Dr Ifland was talking about to prevent Alzheimers but he still got it, so diet is most certainly THE most important factor. I told him and my mom to go keto when he got his diagnosis 7 years ago but they refused. My mom sadly died a couple of weeks ago and my dad is now lost in his Alzheimers...😢 I can't understand how it can be more important to keep eating the way that got you sick in the first place. And nobody in my family understands that diet has anything to do with it either...If I try to talk about it they just silence me. They refuse to listen. And I have to accept that, it's their choice ofc..but it's extremely frustrating to say the least.😢

    I understand, my sister just died of Alzheimer’s at age 73, my mother died of diabetes, my dad of prostate cancer, I feel doomed, so at 69 I decided to go carnivore. This year has been a struggle, I live in a rural area close to Iowa (total corn fed people) and have no one supporting me in this decision. Most believe vegetarian or low fat diets are my problem. But I do it anyway. I got covid this year in late October, got better just long enough to go to my sisters funeral, came home got sick again with Lyme disease, which nearly killed me. So now I am so serious about getting back on this diet no matter what the resistance is from others. I just have to find some support to be able to keep it going, which is hard to find especially at my age. These doctors are inspiring.

    Hi Bella, I just wanted to thank you so much for your channel, your topics, and you putting yourself out there. I watched this video at the beginning of my carnivore journey on 12/28/2023. I saw Dr. Anthony Chaffee say "Start right now, start today!" I made my mom watch the video with me the second time I saw it and guess what.... I did it! I left the living room, went to the computer, ordered my first batch of MEAT and had it delivered the next morning. I was very hungry before the food was ready to eat but I waited. No matter how much I wanted to pick in the left over junk food in the house, I waited. I had my first meat meal of pressure cooked tritip beef, cooked with lots of water as a broth, added a 1/2 stick of grass fed butter. I feel so good. I haven't needed insulin since Friday around 5AM because of a junk food binge while I was watching carnivore diet videos. I checked my sugar after my 3rd carnivore meal and it is 124!!!!!! With no insulin! My A1C was 9.7 when I had my labs done on 11/16/2023. The last 4 days before I went carnivore I was taking 200 units of long term insulin and up to 120 units of short term insulin EVERY DAY! Now it's been almost 48 hours with NO insulin! Can't thank you enough. Today I weigh 470.4lbs. One day I want to be on your show, after I've lost 100lbs and every 100lbs after that. All the brightest blessing to you.

I watched my mom develop insulin dependant diabetes , then connective tissue disease, balance abnormality, then 1 cancer, then another cancer. She suffered. A lot. And the medical community failed her. When diagnosed diabetic she gave an eating change one last shot. That’s what she said- the last shot. As much as I pleaded for it to be keto (hadn’t heard of carnivore 20 years ago) , sadly she had watched a Neal Barnard Quack video, and chose plant based (vegan). She completely overhauled her diet and followed it religiously for 2 months. Got in the scale and she was up 4lbs. That was it. She checked out after that 😢😢

    After 3 weeks i notice a huge improvement. I've been addicted to food, or so I thought, for most of my life. It turns out I was just hungry for real food. I had bariatric surgery ten years ago and the myth of eating every 3 hours was killing me. Now I wake up at 7, row to shore, have breakfast around 11 and supper around 1830. I'm actually not hungry anymore and I'm losing weight.

    Thank you so much!😊 I am brand new to the carnivore community. I'm not strict carnivore yet, I am doing a combination of carnivore-low carb with the intention of transitioning to mostly or totally carnivore. I'm 6 weeks in. The scales show no weight loss, but my clothes are telling a different story. My main focus right now is that I just want to feel better. Mentally, I am feeling much better! I have a lot of healing to do, so I am going to be patient, and give myself love and grace and I am going to embrace this journey. 😊

    I was a meat eater before being on Carnivore Diet and often felt guilty of eating meat because of the propaganda I was exposed to growing up but now I'm on the diet and doing OMAD at the same time to lose weight. My favourite thing about being on the diet is that its given me a great interest in cooking and being in full control of what I eat makes me consume so much less garbage that I normally would. I used to think it wasn't possible for me to eat healthy because I had no interest in vegetables but now I feel better than I ever did eating only animal based products.

    Had lapband surgery in 2005, lost 60 lbs but by then could eat more. Gained it all back and more. Diagnosed with CHF in April 2023. Thank God I saw Ken Berry on U-tube. Stopped sugar & carbs that day and by Xmas day had lost 40 lbs. Out of the plus sizes. My 2 daughters told me I was killing myself and since I don't drive anymore, was dependent on the food they bought (80 years old). What a surprise on Xmas Eve when they brought out the last gift for me. Big cooler with Ribeyes, bacon, pork belly, liver, oxtails, ground chuck) and a butcher that would supply me with beef fat trimmings. Their support is so important to me. Thank you, Bella and all the people who spend their time and energy making all these videos to help food addicts like me. Now all I have to do is get my doctor to decrease or eliminate my meds. Have A-Fib so that will be challenging. Bless you and your Steak and Butter Guy. Happy New Year!!!

Raising carnivore kids (I'm not yet a Mother, but plan to be and would be interested in more of this content 3. How to increase our fat intake (this is what I struggle with the most, and tend to include avocado for now as I'm transitioning as it keeps me consistent with the diet.
