Genetically Modified Super Pig Made To Solve Global Hunger But It Is Actually Managed By Evil

Фильм және анимация

To mitigate global hunger, the Mirando Corporation holds a competition where farmers from across the globe raise the best super pigs. A young Korean girl named Mija has grown up with her grandfather's super pig, Okja, and wishes to keep the clever giant. To save Okja from being processed for consumption, Mija gets entangled with corporate propaganda and the animal rights activists who wish to put an end to the Mirando Corporation.

    Yeah thats what would happen in real life if a farming company got any real heat on them even if breeding a certain animal for slaughter got banned they wouldnt free them they'd cease producing them and then slaughter and sell the ones already produced. Thats among the things that animal rights activists fail to realize. Overall this movie did a good job on portraying the reality of such things.

    When you’re genetically engineering meat animals, every additional year they take to reach maturity increases your feeding costs without increasing your meat production. I think that the average pig is about six months old and at least 250 pounds by the time they go to slaughter. So….nobody would engineer a superpig that needed ten years to reach adulthood/slaughtering age. Even more so, nobody would engineer a livestock pig that didn’t mate for the first ten years. They mate at six to eight months of age, in modern pigs, and produce a litter within about three months from mating.

  • @NoraIconiq

    @NoraIconiq

    I think you are forgetting it was suppose to solve global hunger and they said it was a marketing ploy as well. So it wasnt meant to be practical it was meant to make the company look good regardless of the costs. Also the marketing campaign was gonna last 10 years not that it took ten years to grow. Even if it did take 10 years to grows it clearly wasnt enough time as the lab scene shows a decent amount of pigs being unhealthy and even having deformities even after they reached full maturity. In real life broiler chickens have a similar condition. Where they were bred to grow quickly and produce large sums of meat but it resulted in chickens who grow so fast their bones tend to break under them their musscles are entropied and they tend to have spontaneous organ failure. The ones that make it to slaughter are the ones in peak health and physical condition anything less cannot be processed and sold by FDA standards. Which is also shown in this movie with the super pigs.

I don’t hunt. I don’t have the balls for it. I wldnt eat meat without the help of others. I have family members that hunt. And 1 deer can feed their whole family for a year. They quickly and humanely kill the deer and always thank the deer. I’m ok with that but factory farms where animals never see sunlight and never roam and don’t even have the chance of survival.... Not about animal, but plant. We have palm oil, which is super efficient compared to other vegetable oil. The yield per plot of land, manpower, etc is far superior than soy oil. But the export is banned bcoz some countries (US) are losing money in their soy oil and attempts to claim that palm oil kills Orang Utan. 🤷‍♂️ They dont even know that Orang Utan mainly lives in the other side of country, separated by ocean 🤷‍♂️ but claim that the palm oil industry on West coast kills Orang Utan.

    Governments can solve these issues with inspections, fines, and increasing the cost of meat. Otherwise, as long as meat is cheap, animal cruelty won't ever change.

    Um how about no the cost of meat is high enough as is in my town you gotta pay a minimum of 10 dollars to get even the lowest grade ground beef by the pound. And meat products are only a small percentage of the grocery story inventory how about we even things out by increasing the prices of fruits and vegetables because that stuff is dirt cheap in my area and I cant even eat 90% of it.

    I cried my eyes out. I couldn’t sleep I cried so much . I used to have a huge Rotti who I loved more than my life . He was a sweet gentle giant who loved everyone. I was never so happy with life with my Spikey. He died of a horrible large dog genetic disease and I had to end his pain and think of him. He was paralyzed and suffered. But losing him was more than I could bear. I was and still am torn am devastated . So watching this movie brought back my love for my Spikey. Horrible movie. I don’t think any huge compassionate animal lover should watch this movie. I know the pig is fake, but it’s still horrible to watch and we all know that this does happen to animals every day . Our planet is not running out of food. We waste more food in the world than ppl realize. The problem is bringing the left over food to the hungry .

    Lol, there are so many hypocrites in the chat section making me nauseous. not just super pigs all pigs, in fact, all animals feel the pain they are biological organisms like humans. Most of us are indifferent & even vegans kill many organisms in this world without knowledge or they just don't know how the food works. no body wants rats, spiders cockroaches, etc in their homes, it is only how cute the animal looks that needs saving. Fact is every living organism feels pain when slaughtered.

    Just like some of y'all love dogs love birds love cats what's the difference between them and the animals we eat like cows and pigs they're intelligent if you give them a shot but the company won't tell you cuz they won't want you to feel sorry for that so I wonder why people criticize other people for eating cats and dogs when you guys do the same thing but with cows and pigs and other animals that you may not know you're eating it's just sentimental value one gives to a certain animal so that animal is saved
