Great review! I picked up a 2023 2.5 L Advanced on Monday. Same color, black interior. I agree with you on everything I think, except the headlights, which I think add a certain panache in fitting with the vehicle.

Nice review. Just had my one year concierge service on my 3.5t Sport Prestige (here in the US and Canada we can get the V-6 turbo, 0-60 4.8 sec.) , and I would buy it again tomorrow. Genesis is quite popular but hard to get, most are pre-sold. With the V-6 the GV-70 has dual personalities, luxury cruiser in comfort mode and a decent performer in sport/sport+, highly recommended.

Loved the detailed review. Also, the matching dress to the car.

Being able to move the front passenger seat via the buttons on side is definitely a bonus when you have grandchildren.

I think in a few years this will be what we purchase. Red on red for sure.

The first Genesis I saw in person was a GV70 in Österreich (Austria), but Genesis sadly doesn’t sell vehicles there at the moment; but it was a UK-registered one. That one had the 2.2-litre diesel. I really hope Genesis expands to more European countries in the near future. There’s also a 3.5-litre V6 version making 380hp sold in some other markets like the USA, Canada, Korea and Australia; not for sale in the UK, Germany or Switzerland which are the only European countries where Genesis is currently sold like I said before. That 3.5-litre V6 is also equipped in the G80 and G90 in some overseas markets.

@@AutoSocialUK I asked Genesis whether they’ll expand, and they said they’re currently focusing on their current markets (in the case of Europe, UK, Germany and Switzerland).

I like it a bit different also like the red interior nice change from the usual black.

@@AutoSocialUK Rock solid to drive, powerful diesel, luxurious cabin. No gear shift lever, no handbrake and no CD player. Too big for me but worth a test drive & clearly better value than the German options. Perfect motorway cruiser.

like the fact you have reviewed a Genesis, can not find you previously doing Genesis. Like the Genesis look. My understanding for moving the front seat from the rear is when you are being driven and of course seated in the back and working, you want more room hence you move the passenger front seat forward. That is the market Genesis want to be included in.

Wow I just see your video add and though no way is Tish in Bentley wow then seen it was not lol. Still nice do.

Great video, Tish! Sorry I haven’t been very active in the comments lately - I’ve been super busy. I had the chance to test drive a GV70 2.5T Advanced this past summer shortly after coming home from England, and it quickly became one of my favorite luxury compact CUVs, despite the one I drove being a hideous satin green with a green interior. I love how Genesis isn’t trying to copy other brands - they’re original, which is a great thing in a sea of same old, same old. I found the GV70 to be comfortable, yet very athletic and competent on a backroad. Would I take one over my new Macan that was nearly double the price of the GV70 I drove? That’s a really hard question, but maybe? All I can say is that Genesis hit a home run with this one. 🤘🏼

I agree with you about Genesis opting out of assembling a hybrid GV70 which probably resulted in a big loss of new customers.

gv70 non-hybrid already weighs 2 tonnes. Adding a 100kg hybrid battery may upset the handling & would make it super-heavy [+more expensive].

@@robertsmuggles6871 All hybrid vehicles are a lot heavier on account of the batteries. But as they produce more power and the bulk of the weight is lower would result in a better handling and quicker drive. I believe Genesis doesn't want to use Hyundai power train and doesn't want to develop their own hybrid one.

Very classy car but sorry Tish that at 8:18 was some very bad driving you changed lane without looking over your shoulder at your blind spot. Maybe the camera and the dash showed you that when indicated I do not know but what if a car had been speeding along there. Big crash not good. Please be more careful Tish. We all love your reviews.
