Very interesting. It would have been a tangent, but in regards to geology I would love to hear these guys’ opinions on the subject of Dinosaurs. It seems that the very origin of their discovery and the people involved, is pretty sketchy. Then there’s the question of what fossils are actually found and whether the creatures they supposedly belong even looked remotely like what is presented to us in books and museums.

@@RaptorLlama No since man didn't evolve from modern apes, they shared a common ancestor. Amazing how uninformed you are. If you're talking about the shared ancestor then yes, through the fossil record of shared ancestors, shared DNA, and the demonstration of evolution that are easily observable such as through fruit fly studies. Can you demonstrate the existence of the abrahamic god? Fascinating.

@@TheVenhammer funny, I don't recall writing "modern" before "ape." If you go by phylogeny, I am correct in calling them apes; in fact, I would still be correct if I called them monkeys, or even fish, because that's how phylogenetic classification works. Clint's Reptiles videos on KZread if you don't believe me; he is an evolutionary biologist. I will respond to the rest of your comment after I read it because KZread's mobile formatting is atrocious.

Is the flood describable solely from a scientific point of view? It was after all supernatural. There may never be a completely adequate explanation for it. If there was, unbelievers would say, “that explains it, no need for God.”

I suppose there could be a category of scientific evidence that supports that it was a miracle, such as geological evidence that a global flood occurred combined with evidence that it could not have occurred given purely natural processes. But also, God is the one guiding the natural processes, so it's not so much whether or not it can be explained by them, the skeptical critique is that it just never happened. They could concede that it happened and maintain their skepticism of Christianity, it would just knock off an argument.
