We are building our stand alone genesis store now. Hyundai capped us at certain volumes without one. You face losing your account if you don’t plan to build in the next few years.

I’m proud to be a Genesis Sales Professional in USA ,Absolutely amazing Car’s with the World 🌎 Class Customer service Experience.

Their buying experience is the problem, it’s the one thing they keep leaving out of their vision for the future. They have advanced and futuristic vehicles but their dealers are stuck in the past. Currently the experience of buying a genesis is like buying a buying a Bentley from a mc donalds. I actually went to purchase a gv80 today and was so turned off by the whole ordeal I changed my mind, not about getting the suv but im going to a different dealership, it’s farther away and still inside of a hyundai dealer but hopefully the staff is at least better. Until genesis gets the buyer experience together, they won’t truly excel in the us. They’re not doing well with marketing or advertising either, brand awareness is almost nonexistent on a national level. They’re so laser focused on the vehicles that they’re forgetting the most important part of it all, the people who they want to buy them.

@@detroitplayboi Agreed. I like the products, but not having an official Genesis only dealer is a deal breaker for me. I want the total luxury experience, which also includes dealership interaction. I’m a BMW man but if I drove Audi there’s no way I’m taking my car to a VW dealership

They’ve already accomplished this. I’ve had my Hyundai vehicle for 10 years and have never had any issues with it. Just like a Lexus is a Toyota, a Genesis is a Hyundai. These vehicles will last forever!

I love the brand & service just depends on your particular dealership, but I do think stand alone dealers would make it more prestige 🤝

@@vasopel Prestige is a seperate quality from how good the car actually is. It doesn't matter if they make something on par with Mercedes or Lexus if people still see them as Hyundais. Especially because Hyundais themselves haven't even been a good brand for more than a few years(At least in the US).

Having been a previous Lexus, BMW, and Cadillac owner, I have to agree with Cycle Rider. It isn’t the fact that the technicians are unable to service the Genesis but, the difference in the.manner of customer treatment. The luxury brands always have treated me as deserving of special attention because I bought their product. The customer reception and waiting area is generally upscale with special amenities for the customer. This is something definitely lacking at most Hyundai dealerships.

Ooh you got my attention with that SUV

The only issue with this brand is that it is hard to walk into a dealership and pay 70,000 grand on a luxury car right next to a 20 grand sedan bought by someone who just graduated college. Add to that the Hyundai badge is not associated with Luxury and you have a luxury division that just doesn't have the right badge and bages and brand reputation matter for people who want to spend 70 grand on a depreciating asset. They should build independent dealerships too so that people can better disassociate the budget Hyundai models with the more premium offerings. Much like how Lexus has its own system and Toyota has its own system, Genesis should have its own separate-looking dealership that emphasizes its cool aesthetics and modern design as well. Have the Hyundai budget dealerships for the normal customers and have the premium luxury dealerships for the affluent customers.

? you just lift your feet a little,swiveling car seats have been made before,in american luxury cars in the 60's,no one had a problem with their feet then,I see no reason why there would be a problem now :-)

Need to redesign the license plate location. It takes away from the grill. It needs to be below the grill.

No of this means anything until you increase the number of dealerships. I live in a medium size market with every other brand available except Genesis. I had to travel almost 100 miles to drive one. Convenience!!

@@VaunShiz Mitzubishi is a brand with a foothold in North America for decades whereas Genesis is an upstart and has only been in existence as a luxury Brand for 5 years. They are still one of the fastest growing brands. Give it sometime

@@VaunShiz Well they make it seem like every customer is chomping at the bit to get an electric car. Maybe due to their compliance to government regulations, but at the moment, there's nothing I see that would compel me to buy an electric car.

I’m so proud of the Hyundai/ Kia/ Genesis family you guys are really killing it! I have a 2003 Tiburon gt v6 6 speed manual and it’s still a blast to drive! I’ve also had a 2013 Veloster turbo 6 speed manual as well and I definitely miss that car 💞 keep up the good work!

Kia has really upped their game over the last few years. Their latest models are pretty nice. My friend had the same Tiburon, also manual, and I drove it a few times and it was fast. I had a Honda S2000 at the time and still preferred my Honda though :P

I'm a Genesis fan, & if they want to reach their goal of 400k sales a year they better speed up in setting up their standalone dealerships to showcase the amazing Genesis vehicles in premium & upscale dealerships to make customers feel like they're getting a comparative experience to another luxury brand like Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, & BMW. This is how they'd be able to convert buyers from those brand & other premium luxury brands over to Genesis

Both of my parents drive gv80s prestige. And I drive a Hyundai kona. I’m hoping one day I could be driving a genesis as well.

If you’re worried about reliability then you should do some homework. The V6 in the Acura runs a timing belt vs a timing chain in the Genesis. Belts break far more often than chains and some break well ahead of their scheduled maintenance intervals. Ask me how I know…. I can also tell you that it’s catastrophic when it does happen! I check every vehicle I buy now to make sure they DO NOT have timing belts.

@@beri232 thanks for sharing. I am doing my researching starting about two months ago that is why I am asking questions. I have a 2011 mdx with no problem so far just regular maintenance I did change the timing belt and the starter. I was shopping for the type s after come across the genesis I'm thinking to get the gv70 instead.

Just got In a G70 2022... ready for a EV at the end of my lease.

Man Thier new line up is literally beautiful, the designing, interiors the tech, they have done it, thier cars are better than merc and audi in the specific price range

Parents are jelly of my '18 G80..."The G" is what we call it. Fab ride but could be quieter, less wind noise.

Genesis interiors are nice but let’s get real…. they are not better than Audi and definitely not better than Mercedes. For the price, warranty and reliability however…. I would still choose a Genesis and be perfectly happy with the interiors.

Love my G90. Please fix your service.

I live in Canada and I currently own a GV80 Prestige that we’ve had since December. The automobile has been fine thus far but the fact I have to take it to a dirty, run-down, small, crowded/cramped, understaffed dealership that is overrun with Hyundai customers is a huge negative. The last few times I have taken my GV in for service/warranty work…. I have had to stand in line behind no less than a dozen other Hyundai customers there for service or parts. This is not a “luxury” car experience. You need your own dealerships and service centre’s if you plan to build luxury cars and charge luxury prices. Currently they are a disgrace (at least in Edmonton Canada) and I will not buy another until this has been fixed.

The reason Lexus was able to succeed in the past was their established dealer network and incredible service. Unitl Genesis has dedicated dealerships and can truly distance themselves from hyundai and kia, they'll be struggling.

It's more of an iPhone problem. Apple has restrictive NFC technology. It's because Apple doesn't play nice with compatibility in other brands.

It's crazy when you think that their very best vehicles aren't here yet. They'll only get better⚡️

Every manufacturer wants to go all electric...in 9 to 15 years...the vast, vast majority of the population use gasoline powered vehicles...problem is, no one will be able to sell their vehicles in 5 or 6 years to help finance or get a lease on a new all electric vehicle...and you can bet those new all electric vehicles will be mad expensive still because we are still using the same battery technology...

Is Genesis going to come out with a "G-Line". Please bring back a 3-pedal G70. There are ppl who like tech, luxury, and the sensation of connecting with a car through operating a clutch pedal and moving the gear lever. Be bold, make a statement.

If only they had dealers. I absolutely love my G80 but will never but another Genesis again until they build dedicated dealers. I have had terrible service experiences at both Hyundai dealers in my area. They are even subpar compared to the Chevy, Honda and Nissan dealers in the area. They can't touch the Acura, Lexus and Mercedes experiences. You pay a premium for high end luxury but you have to deal with the thrift store for sales and service.

It seems apple ish in there attempt of presentation but dear lord they need more time in speaking English but hay I’m honestly excited now let’s see if they can do it

I feel like these two are on a date.

If they can get a legit hydrogen fuel cell EV then I’m on board. Way more practical than plug-in EVs

@@VaunShiz yeah I don’t care much about EVs. The limitation on battery capacity probably won’t catch up anytime soon but hydrogen fuel cells would be a game changer for practicality if the infrastructure comes along with it.

It's hard to believe that in just a few short years, Genesis has built a portfolio of products that took the Germans decades to curate and perfect. I am most excited for their hydrogen technology as electrified vehicles are not the only solution to greener and more sustainable future.
