Generosity: The Greatest Spiritual Gift

Ойын-сауық

In Matthew 17:20, Jesus tells us if we have faith as small as a mustard seed we could move mountains. The problem is most of us don’t put our faith to use. In this video, Fr. Mike invites us to make use of the gifts God has already given us. In doing so, we may become so overjoyed by our natural gifts that we can’t help but share them with others.
Fr. Mike is also a presenter in these faith formation programs from Ascension:

I have been frustrated thinking how I could feel Jesus. Because no matter I pray I can't feel him. Even if I think of him all the time. But when I do something to help others like when I work a lot at work, I can somehow feel him. This is what really needed. Generosity.

I used to struggle with this but mine was reading online. What helped me was staying away from the websites where these temptations were. Dont go to them, don't think about them, nothing. If I started to be tempted to think about it I would immediately just start listing things around me. Chair, pencil, wall, water, shoe, etc. And I would keep doing this until it passed. It provided a great distraction and I still use this method today. 🙂

Demons are found in the church too and are doing everything to distract us from the mess. For example when your mind wonders off , or when you start judging the clothing of the person sitting in front of you. Ofc Lucifer can also hide as people who are supposed to serve God, like priests nuns and christains in general but instead give the whole Chruch a bad name

#askfrmike Hey Father Mike, I was wondering if testimonies of people having near death experiences of going to hell or heaven and back, such as the book, "23 minutes in Hell," were anti christian or real horrors. As a catholic, of course I believe in hell and heaven, but are these people's nightmarish tales of hell or miraculous visions of heaven are real?

Today, July 6, is the Feast of St. Maria Goretti, who was more concerned for the destiny of her attacker's soul than she was for her own life. In the investigation of her Cause for Sainthood, the man who attacked her testified that she warned him that he was committing mortal sin, putting his soul in danger of suffering hell for all eternity, and she prayed that he would repent and be saved. He left her mortally wounded. She was discovered by others and taken to hospital, where she later died of the wounds suffered in the attack, but not before forgiving her murderer and praying for his repentance and conversion. He repented and he converted, and all of heaven rejoiced with even greater joy than that with which the Angels and Saints greeted innocent, virginal little Maria Goretti, but none will forget that her sacrifice brought his soul home. So, no, don't "let others use the good side of you against you." Instead, take control of your "good side" and use it to bring souls home, not counting the cost in this mortal life. Your reward will be sweeter in heaven than the satisfaction of eternal justice imposed on others. Besides, when we pray the Our Father, we ask God to measure out mercy for us in the same way that we measure out mercy for others. May God bless you!

Thanks a lot for this encouragement. Unfortunately even within the church you need to be entitled to act and become active as otherwise you would be regarded as a egomanic prophet not humble enough to obey to the order and hierarchy. So "sitting between two chairs" means on one hand wanting to get into action publicly for Christ because of loving HIM so deeply but on the other hand keeping humble and patient enough to be called for action by wiser and in hierarchy higher persons. What to do ?

#ASKFRMike, I want to know what you think about people who've experienced the Holy Spirit and then didn't continue on the right path, never denying that it was the Holy Spirit and bearing testimony but not doing its promptings. Is that unforgivable? I experienced the Holy Spirit one night that it was holding me while I slept. I had just barely started going to church for the first time in my life. I wanted to know I was forgiven for my sinful life. It came to me that night and comforted me. I woke up with a knowing like instructions to do three things - read the bible, help others continuously and not to brag about my experience or be careful who I bear my testimony to. I then struggle to read and understand the bible and couldn't. I stopped going to church and continued to sin, yet still told people of the huge gift of the Holy Spirit. I do not understand why I stopped. I regret all those years I ignored the promptings and am just now coming back to Christ but the remorse I feel is so beyond painful as if I cannot be forgiven. Can I be forgiven of not listening and grieving the Holy Spirit?

Why would St. Joseph rather live in Loja, Ecuador then Burmingham, alabama? The whole city eveolves around the Blessed Mother. Why? They had the miracle of Our Lady of the Swan(Nuestra Senora del Cisne) . They have fireworks even that could break my eardrums too if I wanted to get too close to them at churches and cathedrals all day to show the joy of the Blessed Mother. The c hurches are packed all the time no matter which one you go, and there nis very little crime even.

Seeing Roman Catholic teachings in public spaces sure does help people say, well doesn't that just completely figure. Generosity the most important spiritual gift to Catholic clergy. Definitely, figures. I think the most important spiritual gift is the holy spirit though, or technology God the father himself/love itself. "Silver and gold have we none but that which we have we give" Generosity itself isn't even a fruit of the spirit. Why all this stuff so physical world attached ? What if I don't got nothing but a miracle to give you, preist? You gonna starve cause the fish jumped in the boat?
