I have consistently felt a strong urge to pursue wisdom and authority to make a positive impact on humanity. I've been actively searching for ways to gain influence and expand my understanding of the human race and uncover knowledge that isn't accessible to everyone. My ultimate aspiration is to achieve the enlightenment that has been handed down to us by our ancestors!

@@caydenpo1001 In a future where AGI and personal robots become as ubiquitous as personal computers or iPhones, it is highly likely that corporations would become obsolete. A powerful AGI system would likely be responsible for designing and maintaining the economic system that exists. Consider this potential future scenario: One hundred years from now, an individual's personal AGI would design a car, while their personal robots would venture to a remote mountain location to extract the necessary materials and construct the vehicle. In this case, who would the person need to pay? Traditional manufacturing factories, as we know them today, would not be required, and no monetary exchange would take place. Such a future would undoubtedly lead to massive societal changes, and the described scenario is just one of many possibilities that could unfold. Depending on the direction it takes, humanity could find itself in a literal utopia or dystopia.

This space is moving at a crazy rate. The open source community is improving models to be on par with GPT4 without the censorship or the paywall but at the same time people are using GPT to prompt itself to complete complex tasks without guidance. Soon those fields will collide and you will be able to run a localized AI better than chat gpt You can already download and run these models, they take up less space than a AAA game and easily run on anything with decent memory. Many of our current digital tools already have APIs to connect to and manipulate digitally. Adding in recursive thinking and access to these tools is only going to accelerate the space further.

@@MCart1215 I wouldnt say end times at all, but this rate of change in technology hasn't occurred ever in history. It will likely make the information age look extremely slow comparatively, and many people still struggle keeping up with the online space. Its too much information for our monkey brains to take in, and we've come to resent its social impacts. AI and AR/VR/MR are setting up to make that even worse, without considering the social costs. And on top of all this, its a global phenomenon with winner takes all stakes. Ive been a computer systems engineer for 30 years and have some experience with neural networks, plus some parallel fields. I have colleagues who are very concerned about where things are heading. These are smart people, and we all watched the information age arrive and were very well positioned to be able to understand it and utilise it. But that confidence isnt there this time, and it seems no one can keep up at all. The power of anything close to an AGI cant be understated but more important is the exponential, positive feedback loop that underpins it all. Governments could quickly find themselves at the mercy of the new wave of technocrats.. in fact, it looks highly likely. It doesn't require an End Times for things to start looking really bleak.

A love letter in a style of a pirate from the 14th century that has an Irish accent, but is from the Bahamas: Ahoy, me heart's delight, In the midst of these turquoise waters and beneath the golden sun of the Bahamas, me heart has found its true compass - and that compass points straight to ye. By the saints of the sea, I be captivated by the glint in yer eyes, like stars twinklin' on a clear night, guidin' me ship through treacherous waters. Surely, me days were but shadows before ye crossed me path. 'Tis like findin' a hidden treasure in the sandy coves, a treasure more precious than all the doubloons in the world. Me thoughts be consumed by the memory of yer laughter, as joyous as the melodies playin' in a seaside tavern. Me fair lass, the way ye move be like the graceful sway of a ship in calm waters, and the touch of yer hand be softer than the finest silks of the East Indies. Ye've captured me heart and soul, and I'd traverse the seven seas just to see the warmth of yer smile once more. As I sit by the firelight, starin' into the vast ocean that separates us, I dream of the day when fate shall guide our ships to meet once more. 'Tis a day I yearn for, a day when I can hold ye close and whisper sweet words into yer ear, words as sweet as the tropical fruits that grow on these isles. Until that day comes, me love, know that me heart sails with ye, no matter how far apart we be. Ye be the North Star that guides me through the darkest of nights, the gentle breeze that fills me sails, and the anchor that steadies me in the storm. May the winds of fortune blow us back together, and may the tides of destiny carry us to a shore where our love can flourish as wildly as the palms that line these sandy beaches. With all the love a pirate's heart can muster,

Seriously, what makes you think that, "subtle bugs" don't get introduced by human programmers ALL THE TIME? As a professional in the field, I can assure you that QA regression testing is a notoriously weak part of the development ecosystem. Businesses don't want to waste time and money on extensive testing. Here's the thing (and I'm going to use fully self-driving cars as an example), most people think the self driving AI has to be perfect, when in fact it only needs to be better than us. If the insurance company finds that a human truck driver has, on average 1 accident in 50,000 miles of driving, whereas an AI system has one wreck in 200,000 miles, the insurance company is going to charge significantly lower rates for the AI driven truck.
