General Michael V. Hayden, "Playing to the Edge"

www.politics-prose.com/book/97...
Hayden, a retired Air Force four-star general, headed the NSA from 1999 to 2005, and was CIA director from 2006 to 2009. Now a principal with the Chertoff Group, a security consultancy, Hayden offers a clear-eyed assessment of national security decisions, both before and after 9/11. Striving for a “straightforward and readable history” of recent policy that includes controversial measures such as surveillance, rendition and targeted killing, Hayden outlines the challenges faced by U.S. security agencies and the options available at the time.
Hayden is in conversation with Scott Shane.

Wasn't Sadam Hussein ambiguous about having WMDs so that Iran would believe he still had them?

Everything Hayden says is nonsense. Here is a simple question for him: Why after al Qaeda attacked us, instead of attacking Saudi Arabia who funded al Qaeda, we instead decided to attack the enemy of bin Laden, Saddam Hussein? It was not just the fact that the CIA attacked Saddam who had no WMDs, but they failed to attack the country who helped take down the WTC because the Bush family was in business with both the bin Ladens and the House of Saud. The CIA wants arms races and war, and carries out assassinations, torture and murder. The FBI knew who the terrorists were, but they refused to take common sense action but now want us to surrender all of our liberty and privacy. Russia spends less than 1/10 what we spend, we expanded NATO, we fomented ethnic cleansing on Russians in Abkhazia, Osettia, Crimea, and Dontesk, while we claim Putin is around every corner. Hayden wants all our privacy and puts a nice face on the fact that the CIA seeks to control Americans for the interests of the globalists.

When 911 happened, I immediately thought, "Now they have the perfect excuse."

@Karib'il Watar You idiot. Iran is Shiite and al Qaeda is Sunni. They are mortal enemies like you are the mortal enemy of common sense. There was never a link between al Qaeda and Iran except in the confused mind of John McCain whose staff had to correct him.

"The West will pay dearly for its failure to understand that 'perestroika' is not a denial of Leninism but a radical, creative and effective application of the tactic described by Lenin in 'Left-wing Communism - an Infantile Disorder'. In this document, Lenin wrote that true revolutionaries should not be afraid to discard revolutionary phraseology and adopt right-wing tactics to carry out a revolutionary policy." P.123; The Perestroika Deception; ANATOLIY GOLITSYN; 1990 "How probable is this? Well, has anyone heard Gorbachev reject Marx or Lenin? Quite the contrary: He embraces their philosophy. And, what is that? The goal is communist world domination! The question remains: Glasnost and Perestroika - Crusade or Deception?” COLONEL EDWARD P. McCARTHY JR.

Guy was the head of the CIA, everything he says is designed to create the best effect for his organization. Some of what he says is true, but it's mixed with lies and manipulation. Americans believing Hayden are exactly like Russians believing Putin.
