I have read a lot about Uganda and Amin but please I want to know the perceptions of Ugandans about Field Marshal Idi Amin

This place looks very peaceful, and I am sure it holds a lot of jaw dropping history. The problem however, is these two people didn't do justice to it. They totally cocked up the documentary (or whatever this video is). Beautiful country, and scenery... Two lousy presenters.

Amin was a great man, with 50 kids, loving father, and played sports with his kids. He was an African warrior that ruled like a King. One of his sons went to Tanzania to heal a long time dispute over the overthrow of Amin. Enough respect for the African warrior and King DADA.

That area needs to be made a game reserve , introduce some world animals ,,,, renovate the state lodge turn it in to a hotel. ,,, big business

Beautiful place, it should be reconstructed for tourism. So much empty land, no wonder the mafia in the government wants to take over Acholi land .

This is a piece of Ugandan history you must never forget. Your next president should renovate this place and make it a museum or a hotel and tourists will come!

UGANDA is very beautiful country with nice people but unfortunately throughout history it changed hands from dictatorship to dictator.... I wonder when MUSAVENI let POWER handed over to younger generations and hopefully OPEN a new political path for UNGANDA...?

The place should be made a museum. I'm surprised Amin did not spent public resources to tarmac the road to his home. He appear to have lived like any ordinary African. History will judge him vis -a -vis other African leaders.

About 5 to more million shillings. Uganda is actually a relatively crime free nation save for the petty crime in the major cities particularly Kampala.
