Wow, the most beautiful Country & Western song I ever heard, just can't stop listening to it over and over and over again. Gene's got a lovely voice

One of the best Country songs of all time. I sing it quite often in Memoriam to a best friend that always had me sing it for him at dances & parties. Gene Watson & Verne Gosdin belong in The Hall of Fame.

It's so sad that Gene doesn't get the respect he is due! He is the best male singer left!

Just the greatest song and singer MR. Gene Watson I will never understand why he has never got the recognition he so truely has earned and deserves instead of these people out there singing and call it country if you truely want to listen to true country listen to Gene Watson he is 1 that has truely stuck to his country roots and has stayed that way his singing alone tells you that your listening to a real country singer instead of these singers that sing and call it country.

My God, I haven't heard a Gene Watson song in 20 years. One thing about him...he's as scountry as it gets and the so called "corntry" of today don't excite an old country Texas boy like Gene does. Glad I found him and old memories will once again stir in this old country boys heart. For Damned sure. Love ya' Gene and missed you for years.

I just watched videos of Gene singing this song that scanned about 40 years, and he sings this just as clear and smooth each time. What a talent!

I had the pleasure seeing him in the convention centre in Nashville in June 2010 what a singer it made my nashville trip great singer and a great backing band especially the steel player all in all fantastic John F Mullen Sky Road Clifden Galway IRELAND

doesn't matter HOW MANY TIMES I hear Gene do this, STILL give me chills EVERYTIME I hear "his" ending, WOW! What a POWERHOUSE he is still!

My Mother Loved Gene so much. And his yalent's,,,But she grabbed on to yhis one...AWAY'S HER JUKEBOX BUDDIE!! On her stereo, so much, we played this at her funeral! Well chosen....lov bk

Norbie6, You nailed it baby. He is just about the last of the truly "Great" C&W singers-artists left on this old cold-earth. God Bless "Gene Watson", till he sings his last song!!

Gene Watson is exceptional in that his voice has gotten better over time. John Conlee is another.

Paulina, have seen Gene MANY MANY times yrs. ago when he used to get up DE/PA/MD/NJ way, used to see him EVERY year at Sunset Park in West Grove, PA, my FAVORITE place to see him and his Farewell Party band... You are in for a "REAL TREAT", Gene is Awesome, and a class act, and they don't make voices any better than his... ENJOY! (this is my FAV Gene song, and I love ALL of his stuff), you'll love "the ending" lol, wait and see, will give you chills girl!

Gene just keeps getting better & better! I'll get to see him in Branson May 2. I can't wait!

When I saw him several months back I thought the same thing, I mean he can still hit those notes and hold them for awhile which is something I did'nt think he would still be able to do WOW was I ever wrong I bought his new cd while there played it in my car and was so let down because he sounded better in person than he did on his cd there are few and far in between that can actually do that but Gene was great in that concert and he never sounded better I think that he deserves more recognition.

Why doesn't he get the respect he should? I listen to Willie's Roadhouse in my car and they hardly ever play his songs. He should have been in the hall of fame years ago.
