Man I been going down the rabbit hole of interviews that ART has done with Gene Deal and you talk about some eye openers!!!! To me Gene Deal is one of the only ones who was around and was involved in these situations that so many people have been speculating on for over 25 years. Thanks Art for delving in to the reality of what was truly going on during those times. I think people get bamboozled into believing one narrative without really listening and examining the crazy elements that were in play during this time. Your interviews have made me look at the whole east vs. west, Tupac vs. Biggie in a whole new light.

Hes lied about people's intentions and some things but overall he seems truthful

Gene def has that, you're safe with me bruh, vibe to him. He's obviously a rock solid human being as well to have lived through all that. I'd love to meet this man someday being that I am in the same line of work as he was with even bigger people.

Theres a really valid reason for some of the discrepancies in the stories. Trauma does some wierd shit to our brains. So things like cease thinking they were running lights and jumping curbs, and gene remembers a slower ride to the hospital...both or neither could've happened. Eye witness testimony in moments like that is notoriously unreliable, no matter how hard u are. But gene has definitely given insight to the events directly outside of those moments that truly seem to come from an honest place.

Me and my friend were just talking about this yesterday because about 20 years ago my dad knocked out my neighbor for threatening me lol but I was standing next to my dad at the dudes front door and my boy was about 4 houses down in his driveway watching the whole shit and both of our memories of what happened are different and I said that's why eye witness testimony is weird because we were both there but it seemed like a completely different event from both perspectives,most of it the same but some of the details completely different

@Gorilla Chronicles exactly! I read a book on columbine that went into this and thought it was so interesting. Fight or flight/adrenaline, makes it hard to lock in memories...but our brains cant reconcile gaps...so it fills in those details itself.

Most definitely, Gene did that shit as a job, he trained to be calm in situations like that. Cease was a 17 year old kid in a car that was getting shot at. After watching almost all his content I believe Gene 1000%. I just wish Diddy would have listened to him that night, and Diddy never acknowledged that Gene was the only reason it wasn’t him that night.
