I had the same vibe when he was telling the story.

This man puff made sure his car was in front of BIG's. He further delayed their departure by acting strange while being well aware they are all in enemy territory. He had received warnings from members of his entourage about the strong possibility of violence. The cars were specifically designed to not be able to pursue. Multiple times Puff acted annoyed at the fact that one of his bodyguards was being extra cautious about their safety. After Biggie dies, all the East vs West beef disappears; no retaliations. Puff probably had Harlem World already on deck like "This gonna be my new nigga now. It's either Big, me or both of us. I pick ME." Yeah, that shit was a set up.

I'm a pac fan and just a rap fan in general. Call me crazy but I can never get enough of these stories and documentaries. Gene does a great job telling this story I can listen all day. I tuned in knowing the whole story already but still never gets old. The passion he puts in while trekking it is amazing. Gene is a real one, definitely respect it. Loved 2 pac's body guard big Frank's story as well on what went down in detail in Vegas. Great stories but sad this happened and we have to tell stories of 2 young talented individuals who died.

100% truth. Gene tells the truest story out of everyone. His story has been the same for years. Most of it is word for word. Even when he warned them earlier that day that they were coming to kill them that night. Totally believe this guy.

8:09....Damn this setup was top nocth! like even the street light the gene said was flashing seems very odd to me flashing at that particular moment at that place where the shooter car was park PLUS the car they used to chase the shooter have a chip that didn't let them go over 100 mph coincidence I think not. plus puff push back his seat like to prevent gene from getting out ( in another gene video he shows his knees where to his left )...so im thinking the original plan was for puff car to stop at the street light, biggie get shot like they had to be on the same lane. and this is why puff didnt want gene to be on the left side to his car.puff even goes as far as to threat gene telling him he won't work with badboy ever again if dont get in the car! Like wtf ...gene its in a tight place bcuz of puff pushing his seat back like to prevent gene from getting out at the monent he hear shots....this was a hell of a setup puff knew!! he had to know why else would he be acting funny why else wouldn't puff want gene to be a the left from his car...cuz he would be blocking the shooter escaping path

It's puffs fault i just feel he knew, puff just didn't care, because puffy gotta boss to, gene was doing his job, even after telling puff he got intel they coming shoot at them that night. But the whole thing had to play out on puffs behalf, In order for puff to reach the top after big & pac passed, Gene did he job i feel it eat at him because he wish could've saved big. 👊 peace

Puff knew exactly was about to happen before it all unfolded, imo that’s why he reclined his seat all the way back on Gene. He wasn’t for sure if they were gonna get him or let him live so he wanted to be out of sight as much as possible.

I been saying this ever since Gene been telling his story..I would LOVE to see him tell this story ON THE SCENE so we can really get a feel for what was going on. Even a dramatization would be dope, he has amazing recall

I've heard Gene tell this story several times through the years consistently...Hasn't changed a bit. A liar constantly has to remember their story which they usually end up mixing up or forgeting parts. Thats how you know the difference between someone telling the truth vs a liar.

Lil Cease or D-Rock would've been like "Gene's a liar". Get my drift. He's said this on enough platforms where the parties mentioned had more than enough times to challenge his point of view but they haven't and more than likely its because they cant.

This STORY make me wonder if PUFF seen what Tupac’s death did for his record sales. I was a kid when all of this happened. I doubt anyone in that era was comparing death and record sales like we do today except for those with access to the analytics, aka The Labels and Soundscan. Gene mentioned Big sold his pub. He mentioned what Puff said to him about somebody has to die. I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if Puff set up both legends. PAC because getting rid of the competition and then plotted against BIG when he saw Death Row make millions off the memory of pac and felt like “damn they still winning, I can’t lose to them.” Money & Greed and Ego will have you selling your soul. Shit is crazy to even think about.. right?

Big was only there to work on puffs album.. after a time pac just died didn’t make sense for big to be out there going to events and parties all got what? Puff could’ve work anywhere especially NY but he threatened to fire a security guard that almost got in the way and saved big, tried to push his seat back seconds before it happened to stall. something deeper going on especially when you hear about people bigger than puff calling the shots. Puff was scared to go under for his part in Pacs death so biggie was a seal the deal sacrifice to save his own ass
