You’re the man James. You give people space to open up. It’s a gift, well, it shouldn’t be, it should be something that we are all given in conversations however it’s been lost in the media… we get one or two sound bites or edited snap shots twisted to paint people one way or the other. Offering people space to talk is invaluable.

It always makes me laugh when street dudes from the states come to the UK and meet people from different races here and then realise it’s a whole different kettle of fish and we’re cool and not segregated by race in the same way it is in the states brits regardless of race take you for who you are and if your cool we’re cool it’s just a whole different culture over here. It’s why in the 50’s and 60’s when Motown artists came over to the uk they loved it saw that 80% of brits don’t care where you’re from which is the complete opposite to how it works in the USA and what most of these guys are used to. I’ve been following Gene for a minute and can tell he’s a down to earth genuine guy. This is probably the most relaxed I’ve seen him in a interview you can tell he appreciates iand respects James for asking him about him and being genuine with it as opposed to in the US where they only care about the gossip and what they can find out about other people from him. I wish nothing but the best for Gene. Wish him all the best from the UK 🇬🇧💯

As an American, it’s sad because the establishment wants us to have division, but I think it’s way past damn time and we are coming together more than ever. It’s a hell of a lot better than it was. At a time where they want us divided, and I think for political purposes, people are waking up and seeing the bs for what it is. I hope it keeps improving, they can’t keep us fighting and down forever! Things are changing, and I’m thankful for that! Not everyone in America feels that way, or acts that way, especially those of all of us Americans who don’t buy into the bs. Love one another. ♥️ We all bleed red and we are all in this life together, just trying to make it. 🇺🇸♥️ And we are NOT all segregated like the original poster is trying to make it look, respectfully. The real true people don’t have division. The original poster is trying to make it seem like we are in the 60s, we aren’t.

Hi James this interview was one of my faves, you asked the BEST questions as an interviewer💯 @GeneDealShow I watched ALL your interviews but this one🥹First time I see you, such a soldier, choked up holding back those tears about not being able to save Big and blaming yourself, I damn there choked up with you. Everyone needs a BigGene in there life man, Gene a Real 1💯

I’ve watched many interviews with Gene Deal and he always has quality info and insight BUT you definitely conducted the best interview with him. He seems more at ease, you’ve clearly done your research and ask great follow up questions which allows the stories to be shared and understood with even more detail and insight. I’ve also learned more about Gene Deal, the man, and not just Gene Deal, Diddy’s bodyguard, more than in other interviews. You can tell how much Diddy’s carelessness with other people’s lives has impacted Gene. It sounds like he stayed incredibly busy not only to ensure financial security for his family but also to avoid having too much time to think about the things he saw that still clearly haunt him. The fact that Gene’s first job out of school was working with troubled youth and the grace he shows when discussing his grandparents and even Suge Knight shows just how empathetic he is and how much he cares about others and his community. It’s interesting to hear various industry people speak about Suge - it’s much different than the mainstream image of him as just a goon. Gene talking about how Suge advocated for artists to get better contracts. Also that Gene leant his $800 shoes to Biggie - he always goes above and beyond for his people. The part about making dreams come true and how important that was to him….Gene is good people.
