i love how their relationship evolved. i love how Gene and Louise have such wholesome love interests, but I'm always upset poor Tina is stuck with Jimmy Jr.

The thing is that Tina is not at all stuck with Jimmy Jr. She has a new crush every other week (which is so true to real life pre-teens). Jimmy Jr just happens to be the boy that recurs the most in her ever rotating harem (lol). There's also Josh and that dumb New Zeelander Duncan. It's part of the fun to see what kind of boy Tina will fall for next and what kind of shenannigans it might lead to. But yeah, I also wish she'll eventually realize what a catch Zeke is and starts being nicer to him so they can eventually (maybe by the time the series wraps up) hook up.

Honestly they remind me a lot of bob and Linda, so do Rudy and Louise. Dang I really hope jimmy jr isn’t the end goal for Tina😭

I think that was meant to change alongside with how well they knew her. They see here as more annoying than she actually is so after they realize she's not as bad, they take away those traits to make her more likable.

I never expected them to become a legit couple especially considering how they first met

"Your heart's not broken, it's only growing" Holy shit Gene - and then him saying "Noo that's just announcements someone put in." Made me laugh 🤣

It's amazing how Bob's Burgers actually develops It's characters and changes their relationships with eachother over time.

In a positive way too. I find that other shows change characters relationships solely to cause conflict. But this show’s good at changing dynamics but also sticks to it most of the time

Great topic! "Work Hard or Die Trying, Girl" and "The Gene and Courtney Show" are among the best Gene-centered episodes, and I love that we still see Courtney hanging out with him even after their break-up.

Them sucking ass at announcements after they start "like liking" each other is So funny they're so cute complimenting each other.

Part of the reason I love these kinds of compi vids is the details I missed watching it the first (or second or third or fourth or....) time around. In this case, its the part where Gene and Courtney totally whiff their high five, but its the *_teacher_* who asks if they wanna try again, not another kid. Priceless.

It's great when two different people fall in love. So clueless. But so, in love.

I really love how Courtney has the same voice actor as Grover.

I actually like the idea of the awkward crush actually being a viable significant other after developing them into more of a character. I still think the best character to do that is Eileen from regular show this was cute to.

Genes probably my least favorite bc of how selfish he is, but he TRIES. Not hard most of the time, but thats realistic with a lot of kids. And its cool to see he found someone outside his blood family to really try and come out of his comfort zone a lot more than he likes
