These are the Videos that I absolutely love, please keep doing comparison Vids. If you could do some videos on Lipo batterie comparisons that would be amazing. You’re killing it on KZread man. Thank you for the great content!
Good to hear! I love my Krawlers. I need to join this channel later today as well. I love tire reviews, new and old.
I’m running proline swampers with predator compound with the dual stage foams on my Gen8 AXE. They hook up really well if you pair them on some SSD alloy bed locks. Thanks for review!
I'm in SoCal, the high desert to be exact. We had some snow up here twice since Thanksgiving. Got my AXE couple weeks ago and the stock foams when soft were awesome. Rock hard when cold and unusable in snow and ice. Truck was just spinning in its place and getting stuck. Not to mention, flat spotted. Swapped out to Proline 2 stage and the difference was night and day. My AXE is a beast and went everywhere in all conditions. The stock rubber is more than capable in my case.
Great video. I like the way you think about your content. I’m running G8 Krawlers on my Capra and G8 Hyrax on my TRX-4. I hadn’t really thought about doing a shootout using one of my rigs to see the difference for myself. I am thinking about a pair of Predator Krawlers up front on the Capra keeping my G8s on the rear.
Awesome video just like the full size world in Peterson’s 4wheel and off-road Ultimate Adventure those krawlers pulled a lot of people across the country through some crazy trails !
Crawler Innovation little Nova's I run them in all my rigs me personally I have about a 8 to 9 ish weight on most my trucks and I run medium in the front and Firm in the rear and absolutely love the Foams with The Predator compound like you were saying running the Predator compound whether it be km3s krawler ta or hyrax tires stock foam doesn't do the tire Justice great videos !!! Thanks
you can hear them Krawler's trying to bite. great comparison vid.
I chose the crawlers on rc4wd stamped steel wheels n stock foams for my trx4. I’m always impressed with the performance of both tires n the rig, it’s tough to chase after the thing when you do get it upside down.
Im running the krawlers with proline dual stage foam. its a really great combo on this truck.
I used club5 racing dual stage foams made for the vs410 with my stock gen8 tires and they work fantastic! truck is around 10lbs
What at first sold me on the Krawlers was the fact that I've seen a lot of 1:1 rock bouncers with that tire on it. I too like them more so than the Hyrax.
Great vid, I think you would get better performance with: CI 4.75 lil nova comp cut foams. Soft outer in front wheels/Med outer in rear wheels. Install one CI Tuning disc in each tire on exterior facing side of the wheel. The tuning disc will stop that tire fold you are getting, especially on the rear wheels when you are hitting those inclines. Also vent tires.
Great comparison👍👍
I really like how u managed 2 film the cast of starwars on ther retreat away from every day life👍👍👍
Tommorow it's new year and great proline hyrax
Love the sound of them babies trying to hook up, never ran a good tire a day in my life. I spend thousands of dollars on RC stuff and have never bought a killer set of tires. Gonna have to do it at some point
Nice comparison! I liked the krawlers but they did look a little softer then I would normally run.
I really wanna say it’s how the tire tread is on the tire it’s makes the hyrax alittle more stiffer because of the smaller lugs but more of them and then the krawlers are softer because of the bigger lug. That’s my take on that. I’ve ran the axial krawlers they were good. But I just upgraded to the predator Krawlers still using stock foams. Might change that soon.
Nope, not just the foams. Extensively I have tested and modified 5 sets of the Interco's, my opinion is that the casing is too thin or too soft of rubber compound. This allows the larger lugs to fold over/push into the shoulders, while the inner lugs tend to get compressed together and just forms a larger lug which gets depressed into the centerline. Cutting, siping, and using products to soften the rubber seems to compound the issue.
