I only know 3 third person singular personal pronouns (he she they). Why do I include they? Because singular they has existed since the 13th century and became very popular in Shakespeare's time. It was only in the 18th and 19th centuries that some language reformists decided that the gender neutral third person singular pronoun for someone of unknown gender or sex was 'he'. They is just a much more natural sounding word in this context, though it breaks agreement sometimes. 👍-gen z

I (a millennial) found 👍 always offensive when my mother used to send it to me. Because it showed to me her ignorance of not caring much what I am writing. But it is my own interpretation. This video is a blatant misrepresentation of my generation. Gen z does not care if you use 👍 or not. There is a very small minority of us who do think this, however, I have never seen them. Correction - The complaining about the OK emoji was done by MAJORITY old people. Like it 100% had nothing to do with gen z. I remember it distinctly. And no one ever got mad at white emojis, unless it was like one post. And this time it was also only one post and it wasn't even complaining about the emoji. They simply said that in some situations it's passive aggressive, which is true. So no, it looks like you're the one here complaining the most.

‘Passive aggressive,’ is always open to interpretation. You can’t ban things based on interpretation.
