Marie is probably a scapegoat. Victoria will teach Marie how to pop heads and then she'll get taped using it. Now we have the bad guy that can go down for Victoria's crimes

I forgot who said it but I agree with the theory that Marie is going to learn how to explode the blood like Victoria as well as how to neutralize the Compound V in the blood. or just pull it out like she did the tracker. either way, it neutralizes him....Soldier Boy...everyone. She could prob start removing powers like X Men 3 for a lil side hustle 😂

Mallory comparing Shetty to Butcher was amazing. Also great detail that Newman and Marie have the same ability, showing Newman may be able to take down Homelander if she's fast enough ❤

His actions and belief that heroes need to do the hero thing is why Emma went into the woods.....yeah he's been conflicted and also manipulated but here at the end he is shaping up to be heroic........ especially if he gets a dying speech from his dad about being a hero. EDIT: Also Xavier isnt usually the main character, it the students and lower classmen. So just because he isn't the main character doesn't mean he can't guide people, especially if he gets critically injured like a lot of preview theories are predicting

@@josephrizzo3738 there hasn’t been a single redeeming quality in his character arc and no signs pointing towards one, every time there’s a fight he loses, every time there’s a disagreement he points fingers complains like a pouty baby, and we’ve had like maybe 10 minutes of screen time between him and his dad this season and we’re just supposed to care about their dynamic in the ambulance/hospital scenes?? (which keep in mind he’s so weak he can barely do anything to counteract his UNCONSCIOUS dad’s powers..) unless he does some absolutely drastic and vital to the plot in the finale he’s been nothing more than a failure/loser and a side character for the entirety of the season

Cate is Xavier as Magneto. And Andre / Polarity will take over the school to complete the mirroring. Cate will storm the woods and free everyone there, the virus gets out and this will be the spark that starts the Supe revolution. Her, Sam and the other Supes will break from everyone and start their revolution - a Brotherhood of Evil Supes of sort. Emma, Andre and Marie are on the other side.

Although it is easy to see parallels to Xmen ,because V-kids are manufactured it can't be the same dynamic and it doesn't mean it's worse.I just don't think we should categorically mirror bad guys Vs good guys along Magneto/Xavier lines.I think it will be more complicated than that. I can see Andre learning a few secrets from his dad ,maybe he was threatened by Vought and it is possible that Andre will become bitter humanity who knows? Point is on this show there are too many strings and manipulators to make it cut and dry

love how marie and vics powers are the same but different- she knew she could sense things in blood because she can too, but victoria needs to see what she is doing with her foggy eyes to do it, thats why when she fought her childhood friewnd he was trying to cover up her eyes so she couldnt see- i think marie is the succesor to that type of power her a vic have because she doesnt need to see to do it- the only time i can think of where she was looking is when she closed her eyes and screamed and killed her dad with the lil blood explosion- so by that alone we can know that marie is more powerful than vic, and vic prolly knows that too,

It couldn’t have been Victoria who grace was talking to on the phone. Reason being is because Victoria only finds out about the virus when Marie informs her!

With dean Shetty and Cardosa dead and Cates’ powers to erase memories, I think Sam is going to be a new regular student at Godolkin next season. Maybe even by season finale.

I wonder if the Dean is really dead. The last big push from Cate could be the ruse of the Dean's death. This would allow the Dean to escape and be assumed dead - keeper safe rom the wrath of Vought, Homelander, et al . The real reason Cate stopped Marie from helping, is she would realize they were being manipulated. Either because they were in Cate's mind palace again (In the last episode, it was established that Supes couldn't use their powers in there) or they would see through the implanted image/memory. Then with the team releasing the prisoners from the Woods, the virus can begin to spread (although slowly) like an STI. Cate said she believed the Dean before the murder scene and we never saw Cait flip on her. This left me a bit suspicious.

This is my go-to channel for Gen V episode breakdowns. Great stuff. After sharing my theories on ep 4, (and being so on point), I'm afraid of spoiling things for people 😂. But I will say I've been pleasantly surprised by this series. Such an insane, wild ride. Can't believe we're at the season finale already😱.

Holy Shit🤯 This episode has easily been the best so far. Such a relief to know that they absolutely nailed this spin off. I was a little worried it was going to be a pointless, boring cash grab that didnt have anything to do with the main show, and im glad its quite the opposite. Its just as well written as The Boys is with all of the same qualities that make The Boys such a refreshing watch. The Boys cinematic univerese is GOATES imo.

I had to watch The Mighty Nein Reunited live one-shot before I watched the episode and it was torture to not watch the breakdown before I watched the episode. Thank you for all your work. This was a wonderful capper on my nerd filled night!

Victoria has a scientist who decodes the virus and find an antidote, then she keeps the antidote and explodes that scientists head. After that she releases the virus and kills about 90 percent of the supes. When the dust settles she takes the throne with her unwilling supe daughter who is also given the antidote.

They’ve only seem to have humans be deans (and psychologists at that) so I don’t see them putting any Supes into this position (all of them are painted as arrogant and def. don’t have the thinking capabilities for such a position which I love about this verse)

Hughie and Butcher did tell Grace that Victoria was the Headpopper Supe and she seemed pretty pissed about that, even moving to move Ryan to a new safe house since she told Victoria where Ryan was, which didn’t exactly work so well. I see many comments that Shetty’s death was a trick from Cate, and it could be possible, she did look convinced that Shetty loved her like a daughter, but at the last shot before it cut away was Shetty’s smile dropping, almost like she was realizing that Cate was using her powers to control her and read her memories. It could be possible that Cat is truly genuine this time, finding out about how Shetty planned to wipe every Supe off the planet, including Cate no matter how she feels about her, and truly believed that what she was doing was the right thing. I also theorized that this first season and the last season of the Boys was showing a growing plot point of Supes vs Humans, like Homelander congratulating Victoria for standing beside her ‘kind’, Tek Knight willing to frame Shetty for Golden Boy’s death because she was ‘just a human’, not someone of worth compared to the Supe students, and now this episode with Shetty wanting to destroy all Supes because of Homelander, Sam getting influenced by the Pro-Supe protesters, claiming that they were better than humans, and calling Shetty’s death justice for her and human’s crimes against him, and Cate taking a ‘destroy them before they destroy us’ mentality, the next season or season 4 of the Boya could have this spiral into a Supe rebellion or civil war, one lead by Homelander and Ryan their ‘Messiah’ for being the first natural born Supe. As for what will happen with the Cardosa Virus, I think Victorua will wepaonize it to be used more directly, like injections to disable and kill Supes that get out of hand, like Homelander, but will ultimately not have it become airborne or keeping the airborne version or works safely to herself, as a measure of last resorts. I can then imagine the Boys finding out about this, with maybe Butcher being the person Grace talked to, and then Butcher in his desire to destroy all Supes, as he stated in Season 3, he and the Boys end up in-fighting over what to do with the virus, with most of the Boys wanting to use it on Homelander and Butcher wanting to go ‘scorch earth’ and kill them all, even if it includes Kimiko and Annie.

I think supe lives matter was more inspired by the "blue lives matter" movement since the episode it was first said in, what was his name, Roadkill? He was more akin to police

I didn’t even think about a possible collision between Zoey and Ryan. That would be epic.

If I remember correctly, in the Boys comics Billy Butcher wants to wipe out everyone who has Compound V in their system with a virus, please do correct me if I'm wrong?

If Mallory tells butcher about the virus The boys are going to team up w the main group of genv that are going to try and do the right thing (which looks like everyone except cate and Sam since he’s traumatized and they both want revenge ig)since they already have 2 supes in “The Boys Group”(starlight&kimiko) this could be one side if they decide to go with “the civil war arc” (hopefully the boys season 4 or have to wait till season 2 since it’s confirmed). And also hopefully Marie will fix wtv is going on with butcher since she can control blood cells and stuff in the body and that’s how butcher could live longer🤞

Tbh…I don’t think she actually killed shetty. I think that she made them all think that she killed her, but she either killed someone that morphed into her to look like her, or, she made whoever that was kill them sef but made her friends believe it was Shetty. Yeah, Kate is a beast, and she doesn’t even know the full extent of what she can do. I’m getting next gen Seven vibes from the gang. Marie’s powers, as she uses them, are still very infantile, but Kate is a natural beast, and she has so much more to uncover

Compound V is not inherited, Ryan is the only natural born supe, and the Homelander was created by the DNA of Soldier Boy.

Homelander is fast with ridiculous senses. It’s possible he can sense it and be fast enough to retaliate. Neumann also needs line of sight and that is her weakness. We also don’t know how durable homelander is to that power either.

He’s just too powerful. Victoria tried to make Homelander’s head pop and with all her trying the best she got was a weak nose bleed/trickle. Victoria’s powers have their limits against other supes. Homelander’s body and thus blood is obviously modified so it doesn’t act like a normal person’s, and is thus more fortified against damage or acting out of place, just like how he’s mostly impenetrable physically, and even if hurt he heals remarkably fast. It’s like how Stormfront, especially in the comics, has amazing healing and so you have to kinda take her/him out all at once

@@louisianimal24 her family, cate’s brother, marie’s parents, hughie’s girlfriend, butchers wife, mothers milk’s family…. I can keep going on and on, Humanity is in danger, thats why the English are the only ones who got it right, kill the supes, save mankind. I wasnt a fan of hers till this episode, when i realized she was actually a butcher spin off, and he will keep the work going, trust me, this virus is gonna be real handy in the Boys show.

CATE AND LITTLE CRICKET ARE THE BREAKOUT CHARACTERS OF GEN V this was an excellent episode overall i wont be surprised by the end of season 1 Cate leaves goldolken and developes an anti human mentality

I think killing shetty may have been a mistake by the writers. The actress that plays her is amazing and the character is such a compelling villain! I think making cate more of a general liability to everyone with her powers and mental instability would of been a smarter decision for a season 1 villain. Since shetty genuinely loves cate, forcing shetty to be the one that kills her would of been a good ending to season 1
