After just finishing the anime this made me tear up, this anime isn’t just “fighting with mechs.” it’s so much more, it shows how love is hard to find, easy to lose and is such a powerful thing that it can drive people to doing things that seem impossible, it’s why I love this anime. It is heartbreaking and moving. Darling in the Franxx is my number 1 anime, and i think it’s going to be that way for a very long time. (I still can’t get ZeroTwo out of my head)

This anime was like no other I’ve see in my life span the characters are so easy to get attached to and it’s very depressing when the show ends, such a good series flew by so fast. I have rewatched this multiple times which just cuts the wound even deeper. Warning if you are planning on watching it is a good show but it will leave you felling empty 😢

I started watching the series being lost, now im lost even more... Honestly never been hit that hard inside by any other anime or regular movie. Lowkey we all crave for such connection with another person... Also i just realised how many of us have the same thoughts, not only about the anime but in general. Saw it on reddit might as well post it here: To cheer you up a bit, seeing as DitF is heavily into spirituality and eternal bonds you can be sure those two kids who has their souls will get married and have children, when they die their souls will regain all their memories and they'll continually reincarnate and be together for eternity. While I personally thought it was a strange direction for the series to take, it still means their bond will be eternal since their souls became linked and.. Well they became the Jian bird since their souls are two parts of one whole that became one at the end. This is actually all explained indirectly in the scene where they met under the sakura tree. Zero Two had candy, a Jian bracelet and a bag the exact same colour as her old suit, Hiro had their picture book - the tree sprouted from Zero Two's corpse, Zero Two hurt her knee, Hiro gave her his hand etc.. Essentially the entire point of that scene was to show us that they finally got what they want
