I feel like ppl tend to forget the Obito had nobody after Rin died. Characters with hard lives in Naruto tend to have someone who can save them from becoming evil. Naruto had Iruka, Itachi had shisui then Kisame, Kakashi had Guy. But Obito could only turn to Madara and Zetsu and they essentially took advantage of the fact that he was alone and had no one

I think rin x obito is possible kakashi because he doesn't want to be with rin because he doesn't love her and out of respect for obito.
