I grew up in Namibia where semi precious stones are also so abundant. I love my string of Amethyst beads, my blue Sodalites,Zeolite,Rose quartz, Garnets,Tiger eyes,Agates. Namibia and South Africa are rich in all of these semi precious stones❤

I lived out west most my life and never got into lapidary once. I moved to TX and now getting into cutting and polishing stones like jasper and agates. Now I want to go back out west to get me some rocks! haha!

Hey Dave 🙏this is an apology about my last comment I realized the next day that the Do not touch signs were likely specific to a particular bin or section How can the customer bond with a particular stone without picking it up And looking at it! 🧐 I am sorry I was being “hall monitor “ I love my hobby and the people I’ve met and learned so much from Humbled by my mistake Please keep on doing Lots of us would never get the chance to see the fine specimens and be able to listen to the vendors without you

Alot of beads you pick up, could be used for buttons on bulky sweaters and coats…don’t. Limit yourself to necklaces. And stone beads would make great back splashes and bathroom counter tops😊

The original and authentic London bridge was bought for $2.42M by a guy from Havasu City They carefully disassembled, numbered each individual piece and shipped it to Havasu and reassembled.

The hearts that are marked 44 etc on the back are marked that way because they count them all and match them to the custom made stands and they number the stands as well. The price was the little white tag It’s amazing how well they make each custom fit stand also

Gem world in Pheonix is always a must stop for me but I guess I need to visit this location now too! I'm not a big fan of their "souvenirs" and kitchy stuff but it's always worth digging through their specimen boxes.

Hi Hannah!! Where is the Phoenix location at??? I want to go, I go to the Rock/gem shop at Arizona Mills: Baseline and 1-10..everyone knows where the Az. Mills huge new mall is, not so new now really..and where is this Gem world where he is videoing at now?? hello there i use cheap master laps made overseas sold by amazon i don’t know the exact brand of generic unfortunately and i haven’t been using master laps for the more aggressive hard metal laps but if i was finishing me stones i’m a flat lap and was using prepolishing disks i would have to figure something out thanks for watching my friend i really appreciate it

Awesome video mate, wish we had gemworld here in Aus haha We're trying to break into to u.s market atm with our opals. We heard that in America there are over 60,000 Lapidary groups and shops. That sounds amazing! Plus the youtube community focusing on gems, gold, mining and cutting are great and seem like a great bunch.

their website it is impossible to maintain and stay updated. They have so much stuff come in and out as fast as it comes in. I don’t even know why they have a website. Your best bet is to give them a call and ask them if they have any between the three stores that they operate around Arizona

If you have a camper, you got to plan a trip to quartzsite in January. You can camp at an LTVA for 180.00 a season. October to April.

not too bad they already exist in a few different forms. Mostly just hippies wire, wrapping slabs, roughly shaved into lenses. It will definitely work it’s just gonna take somebody with some faith in a little bit of start up money but it’s a guaranteed money making idea.

their website it is impossible to maintain and stay updated. They have so much stuff come in and out as fast as it comes in. I don’t even know why they have a website. Your best bet is to give them a call and ask them if they have any between the three stores that they operate around Arizona

If you have a camper, you got to plan a trip to quartzsite in January. You can camp at an LTVA for 180.00 a season. October to April.

Never mind I found it. It’s called Arizona gift center in Apache junction. Can’t believe I didn’t know about it. Maybe the name helps keep it a secret.

not too bad they already exist in a few different forms. Mostly just hippies wire, wrapping slabs, roughly shaved into lenses. It will definitely work it’s just gonna take somebody with some faith in a little bit of start up money but it’s a guaranteed money making idea.

are you asking why they don’t have a storefront in the East Coast? All three gym words are ran by the same guy and for the most part only a day, Drive away from each other and his coach store would be pretty successful, but hard to manage from across the country.

How many people know of “rock hounds” who passed and left their heirs hundreds of pounds of garden quality rocks to dispose of? This is apparently where a lot of that worthless rock comes from.

I find most of mine on the shoreline and in the forest in situ ( in host rock ), and some of my pieces are e pretty close to show quality
