At 2:56:48 that stone could also be Ruby Fuchsite. Look for some blue around the red.

It’s definitely not ruby fuchsite The pink in green stuff is real popular here in California they call it Thulite in jade some say jasper others say marble

Cutting rough and storing a stone in water are completely different.
