We have one of our percussionist doing it since we didn't have a siren, it's so hard not to laugh when he does it
I'm doing this with my concert band at my high school this year!!! I love West Side Story, so this made me really happy to be able to play (especially as a Baritone :) )
This reminds me of Firehouse Five Plus Two! LOL!!!

Played this with a district honor band in alabama and man the trombone players in this recording just sound like a bunch of wimps!! I mean don't get me wrong they sound great and are playing technically perfectly but this song HAS to have more of a meaty sounding trombone section in my opinion.
This is almost as bad as a Sousa march for the horns.
