GEC Northfield #33 Conductor

A look at my latest Great Eastern Knife, the #33 conductor. This particular knife is a swell center equal end pen knife featuring Sanbar Stag handles.

Thanks, man. It was tricky. I would have liked this more with a spear main blade but it is definitely a cool knife and great a little slicer!

I hadn't seen this come out, but as soon as I saw the video thumbnail, I immediately thought to myself "oh yeah, that's TOTALLY a Tobias knife". Glad you're happy with it!

What a beautiful knife. I’ve always loved swell center knives. And the bolsters really set it off for me. I have always liked the fancier looking bolsters, that might be in part with my uncle being a knife smith. Never owned a GEC knife before but I hope to one day here soon I always hear great things about them and love the look of their knives and the quality and craftsmanship.

She's a beauty. You are right, the GEC Stags carry very well in pocket. It is my favorite cover in any case. I have 6 GEC's that are stag covered and though one of them is revered (#16 Genuine Stag Canoe, safe queen) the others have been carried a fair share and are as new. Nice addition to your collection Tobias thanks for showing us.

I received mine two days ago! I initially preferred the Stag so that's what I got, but I have to admit the Tidioute in the JB looks good too. This is my smallest sized GEC yet, and I'm thrilled with it - it's certainly big enough to be practical, and I'll be carrying it for sure. Bring on the #74 Mustang!

I'd say that quality on yours is "Outstanding", quite a few were disappointing on the F&F of the Spring/Liner/Stag Covers/Bolsters, which was caused by debris.. some could be rectified by soaking in soapy water, but only if the debris was soluble! Pull on quite a few were a "4", so you were lucky to get one with a better Back Spring as well! Kind Regards Mad63taz

Tobias, I like the Stag a lot. For Stag I like the fact that it not overly wide the scale stay in the profile of the bolsters. It looks like the barks is will rounded or "pocket worn" in Case talk.

Very interesting. I would have thought bone would hold up better. Nice knowing that Stag actually holds up longer. Glad you are happy with it even if it wasn't the one you were actually after. Does GEC ever go back and do runs of knives that they haven't had out for awhile?? Reason I ask am trying to find a black Bull Nose to go with the the Bullbuster that I have. Thanks for sharing that Conductor.
