Mine is still "Don't interrupt me." But that one is context-dependent; it doesn't really have its full effect unless you know he was in Doom and had just used a shotgun to kill an Imp that was rushing the stage.

Even though Marcus and Anya were more or less an item throughout the games, they didn't delve into it and rather let the books do it which I give props to Epic for going with that.

Oliver Really? How did they "ruin" it? It felt fine in Gears 3. Really, Anya and Marcus ended the war with their comrades and were finally able to have a future together. I don't have an issue with it in Gears 4 either. Given what happened, it makes sense that Kait and James are going to be much more closer now because of it.

Almost every writer, not just a game writer, draws from their personal experiences while creating a story. Size and brand recognition have little to do with the writer's choice to say it out loud.

+Exiled Mind While everyone who cares about a thing they are creating draws from life experience, it's often the case that the inspiration and relatability is strongest when the life experience being drawn from is very fresh and/or very impactful. Cliffy B had just gone through a divorce, so influences related to that felt even more genuine.

Same thing with Gears 3 which was inspired heavily as well by the loss of his father.

Favorite bit in Gears 2 is when your underground and do some sniper practice to a group of locust way in the background and your hear Marcus go as you shoot them " Thats one, Thats two! Thats three! Thats four! Thats five, motherfuckers! " love that bit to fucking bits man.

Never played a Gears game, and was expecting this to be a timely plug video that read more as a press release about behind the scenes of Gear 4. Very pleasantly surprised! Great vid.

Nah, they were always Muscly McMusclemen. They only reason they looked more buff in GOW 3 was because it was summer and they changed into their summer attire (lighter armor, no sleeves), according to the in-game lore.

Love that Day of the Dead was mentioned! This and Dawn of the Dead (1978) are my two favorite Zombie films.

man, i fucking loved gears of war. i even enjoyed judgement despite its many flaws, gears 3 and halo reach where literally 90% of my childhood. i even told my maths teacher i couldnt attend detention because a relative was dying just so i could get home and play gears 3 on its day of release. the books where actually my introduction to the series, i read through aspho fields and bought the game.

I wanted this episode to keep going.. I want all of the videos to be longer. I love learning stuff about my favorite games. All compacted so I don't read a two page article that leaves me with the same information I've read 6 times before by the end of it.

I know just about every bit of lore and facts about gears of war, ive played them all on the hardest difficulty and ive been in love with the games ever since I was 9. sometimes id watch a "facts you dont know about gears" and Id know everything they said, but this video was different. I actually learned something I didn't before. So congrats on actually diving into the game history and finding more

Gears of War is easily one of my favorite trilogies. Of course it was a trilogy... But i seriously love it. Easily the best 3rd person shooter game. I haven't played Gears 4 yet but i plan on it soon enough.

It's maily because it was overhyped, it didn't live up to the trailer, and also has aged (for the most part) terribly. Also the fact that people call this the greatest gaming franchise of all time is an insult to other gaming franchises.

Ahhh...I remember hating those enemies with a passion but loving their weapons...I played exclusively horde mode for a while after campaign was done...I think it was gears 3 despite my memories of it being that one map where you spawn on some stairs, I guess it was ported.

why dose the PC version have a games for Windows vista thing on the top I thought it was a windows 10 exclusive? assuming there's 2 PC versions do they both have the extra chapters?

Games for Windows was Microsofts attempt to make a steam-like hub for their games. it was a neat little overlay that you could see in-game. It flopped and they stopped supporting it a few years ago. I remember because it made my copy of Halo 2 unplayable.

Did you know? Gears of War receives far more hate than it deserves. Every Gears game (excluding Judgment) is fantastic and improves upon the genre so much with each iteration.

Not really. Gow 1, 2, and 3 are almost one exact same game. Judgement did have some changes for better or worse, but got alot of backlash from fans. 4 they did try something new and i can respect that. But as for the hate goes i kinda agree. This gaming franchise is good, sometimes great, but FAR from the best.

New campaign, new ip, new console? Those things are usually well placed together, it'd be harder to get a new IP passed on an older console.

In all honesty I like all 3 equally, even at their worst the Gears games have always been pretty quality shooters. 1 was a proof of concept essentially, a really good proof of concept but I have to agree that 3 is where everything get refined to a nice shine. Still need to get 4 though.

Gears 3 lost its gloomy tone. Gears 1 & Gears 2 are preferable to me as a fan who has played all 3 games. Not only that, Gears 3's campaign wasn't memorable.

Someone saying a dark place is Pitch Black isn't a reference to the movie, it's someone saying it's pitch black. You can't just try to make up connections to references when there is none.

They really need to remaster Gears 2. It is my absolute favorite game in the series, and it really needs to be remastered.
