I bought this recently after it came out and I think its great. It is my first crawler type vehicle, and I have not been disappointed. Your video helped me decide, thanks!

My LHS got one of these in and when I went in to see it the owner drove it up my leg lmao. The TRX-4 Traxx is such a sweet truck!

They are even better now. I just bought 2 back in August of this year they now come with deep trax and a set of tires. Well worth the money and so much fun.

I just bought mine about a week ago, and they now come with the deep tracks, 4 tires and the screws needed to convert from the Traxx to the tires. It really is a good deal, and I'm glad I bought mine!

Worth noting that now it includes its own servo now, 2270 which is rated at 236oz in. Much better than the 2075x at least.

When I was in high school in the 90s I love the RC cars. Traxxas made RC cars but they were pretty much junk now they rule the industry

I guess this is much the reason why my 'Expedition Rack' ordered a month ago when I purchased my TRX4-Sport is still on back order.

It's so ridiculously fun looking.

Nice job i just picked this one up and traxxas now gives you a bonus for free the 4 wheels and tools to change out from traxx to wheels.

I think traxxas actually killed it with this truck! What a good looking truck. I already own a trx4 Bronco and absolutely love it, although I would actually consider buying this blue sport with the tracks and accessories.

Although I rarely comment, I always watch your vids if they include a trail machine. At first I didn't like Traxxas because the Emaxx dethroned my beloved Clodbuster. But a short time later I had two Emaxx's. Hahaha. I've been a fan ever since. I love the features of the TRX4's. Tho , it's a plastic rig(per se)and the mediocre electronic's aside...the plastic are really good and the medals are WAY stronger than any other trail-machines in the $250-$450 range...what I mean is I've seen TRX4's on BIG power on 6s being absolutely abuse at 40...50+mph and hold together till they hit an immovable object. If I wanted Trax...this is definitely the way I'd go.

Thanks for watching and I'm honored to get a rare comment. LOL. It's a good rig. I agree, I don't mind plastics on vehicles as long as their designed right and the right composite or nylon mix is used. Traxxas did it right with the TRX-4. The electronics, well... they're fine for the general user. I still have the stock electronics in the Defender I reviewed 2 years ago. The truck just gets bombed around the backyard, they're fine for that. This Traxx kit though is a good versatile kit, worthy to consider.

Update, this truck does awesome! It has an upgraded servo (still sluggish, just not as bad as before) and a metal servo horn stock, as well as deep Traxx instead of the ones shown in the video. And since I've gotten mine, they now have clippers mounting for the body as well. Superb all around crawler and have already installed a higher torque servo, aluminum motor plate, aluminum stub axle nuts, and new aluminum body GTR shocks for the Traxx.

That's cool

I would like to see this running in some snow.

If Traxxas sold that set up with the armored vehicle body, i'd buy it in a heartbeat.

you could build one your self, just get the Traxx model and buy a diffrent body its not hard at all

Nice Traxx,high Prince but the Performance is awesome

I'd seriously consider this one if it had the 1/10 Summit motor (if it could even fit) and a similar gearbox with high and low gears, giving it a bit more speed (maybe up to 15-20 km/h in high gear). I've never liked the Titan 550 motor. Had one, and scrapped it within days for a brushless. But the Titan 775 has treated me very well. Had my Summit for years, and I haven't even really lubed the bushings on the motor at all. Unfortunately, the Summit Esc got fried a while back, and I suspected it was the servos that did it (2 steering servos fighting eachother). Changed the Esc and installed a single brushless Traxxas steering servo. But now it doesn't steer like it should, and no idea how to fix it. Anyway, would be nice if they offered something as good and versatile as the Summit, but without any major flaws. This isn't it, for me. Tired of wrenching on RC's, so not going to buy something just to replace parts right away. But the tracks are very cool on this, for sure.

Anybody know how fast this goes with the traxx on and with them off? Also would the traxx work with a brushless motor upgrade?

Good day. How much is the torque twist for this model? I would like to modify a crawler to take a camera to places I can't go for interesting shots. Camera will make it top heavy, and roll-over will be bad news.

The one thing i take from this this is battery wise its going to guzzle the juice out of it.. let alone the heat the motor creates..

My only knock against this truck is that it doesn't have the 2 speed trans and locking diffs. Just got one, gonna see how it does in my new territory of Virginia.

How fast could you run it on traxx without an issue?

You say in your videos you run in Wolcott CT. New to the RC world do you have a shop or do you recommend any shops?? Use to use Winsted hobbies and more. Looking for a new shop for parts and expertise!!

RCHR in Waterbury is probably close to you then. I primarily go to Hobbytown in New Milford or Danbury Hobby Center. I don't have a shop.

Don’t worry they will sell a few thousand of these and then come out with a setup lifted, better servo, more detailed paint job and maybe a set of tires/wheel combo! Its Traxxas buddy all for money! 😉 ✌🏼😎👍🏼

You do a good job selling. The problem is it looks like you are just an ad for mostly traxxas. When I was in RC years ago (29 years) I liked print ad magazines for RC. They compared different companies. From those features I bought a Kyosho Turbo Ultima. Our local RC club ran races at local area festivals on roads or parking lots. Yes mine was a buggy but I still raced that bone stock kit in both stock and modified. Because of my job I couldn't make all of the races. I still finished 6th in stock (the largest class by far) and 2nd in modified for the whole summer and fall series. I want to get back into RC again but I don't see Traxxas in racing events. Not on or off road. Can you please do some videos of Kyosho, HB, Xray, Yokomo, and others in the racing end of things? Be the leader in RC not the commercial for kids toys please. When I was in it the Toys were for the parents that were looking for a babysitter to watch the kids so they didn't have to. The racing had Moms and Dads with there kids as families involved in RC together. Sons and daughters racing in stock classes and the kids helping the parents with the modified cars. Show kits where the parents and kids spend their time together building something that will have a longer lasting memory and bonding experience please. Just my opinion mind you. And yes I know that traxxas is the largest seller but once it breaks most people will put it on a garage sale and forget about the hobby because they don't understand what and how to repair/replace parts to keep it going (which Traxxas has a ton of). Most kids 10 years old back then helped me when I got my kit on the how to make it easy to build and troubleshoot handling issues. They were a great help. Some parents had to work on a race day and asked if their kids could pit with me for adult supervision purposes only. All of those kids were well behaved and perfect marshalls when their race was done. I had 2 batteries, 1 for stock, 1 for modified. These kids would make sure my batteries were ready to go for me and make sure everything was right on my car as I was marshaling for 2 classes. What happened to that kind of help and respect from today's kids? To many parents buying babysitters and not family involved kits. I still see some of these kids today and they all say hi and so do their kids! What a difference a kit can make

Great video, very cool miniature tech and scale realism, but this entire "Crawler" genre is boring imo.

Not a bad choice if you want this kind of vehicle, but they should have written on the box... What you need to complete this vehicle..? A steering servo! This weak servo is rated at 125oz, not strong enough for the big tires, so imagine how crappy it will be with these Traxx! BTW, when you want to buy these Traxx, they tell you this... "Use a High-Torque 400oz-in servo and a High-Output BEC for maximum turning power in all conditions. "

Yeah that stock servo is barely adequate with the 1.9" class tires you'd normally use. At least its metal gear.
